  • The second Eureka was laid down 7 March 1941 as PC-488 by the Sullivan Dry Dock and Repair Co., Brooklyn, NY
  • Launched 20 December 1941
  • Commissioned USS PC-488, 12 August 1942 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard
  • Reclassified as an Unclassified Miscellaneous Auxiliary and named Eureka (IX 221), 25 April 1945
  • Struck from the Naval Register 21 January 1946
  • Sold 13 March 1946
  • Fate unknown.
