Yeah well android tablets or chrome books those are glorified cell phones nothing more then that its just the same with an open source like linux OS's they are good for cellphones and building software but very light in the security needs of users now and a days.... This is why with windows 11 we got what we got..... But I mean if someone is just going to use their laptop for light social gaming that doesn't need a GPU that is more web based and they are not going to be playing for more then 3 hours at a time they are worth it.... But really I would not encourage anyone to install Linux as its never got its upgrade its till unable to support TPM and anti hacking anti cheating protocols that to protect IP and fare game play we need now.... Too many cheaters out there and scammers too....

yeah I know people that say laptops are good for gaming really are just saying that because they want to justify the large price they paid for a lemon in the end... They will always be under powered and good luck upgrading them.... they also have overheating issues.

I didn't go through and pick apart of the stuff you are saying... But one thing I can say laptops are garbage though they only have the portability thing but you will always loose so much in getting one... Let me explain the second its put on the shelf its obsolete yes the second it hits the shelf... With Laptops with the impossible upgrades within the first year of getting the top of the line flagship model you will be stuck behind system requirements that will leave you in a computer desktops dust.... Next is battery and over heating issues, yes serious yes costly to get what you need to keep it cool during those long hours of gaming... Anyone that calls their laptop a gaming laptop makes me ball out laughing.... With onboard graphics high demand for CPU usage overheating on both AMD and intel models.... They are not gaming computer they will never be considered gaming computers... Only till the ones that sell to the sucker consumer but not the user.... They are good for some things like office and school work light video editing and some have the power for drafting.... But really never gaming and never AI work and never really video game design or anything involving using video memory... I have been a computer tech for over 26 years I mean I have a real degree for 26 years in the tech field.... Also with the quality that we are seeing at the moment you have to also be aware of the pitfalls with some hardware.... Like all on board Intel gpu's seem to come into security issues and in some cases with some of the CPU versions gets locked out as a security patch released by intel makes your laptop go into blind mode blocking the GPU.... This has happened with a large number of the Icore 5's 12 gen and above.... Its a growing concern for all those computer techs that have to fix issues like this in our line of work....
