I use Roku and watch bunches of those channels. But I’m extremely tired of being hammered with their promotions of some of the most obnoxious and mindless channels for you to watch. By hammering, I mean having the same horrible ad played up to four times in a row or that ad running every time there is a break in the show being watched.
I’ve found a simple alternative and moving fast to kill my Roku boxes asap.

I’ve blocked my TVs from internet access. This makes them dumb TVs. I’ve connected my own entertainment sources to the hdmi ports. My media server feeds movies, documentaries or old TV shows as I want. No commercials.
