Installing microservices using YAML
So, how are you going to create a microservice? Well, Kubernetes microservices can be created in different ways. You can specify all in one or more YAML manifest files. Or you can use Helm charts, where standardized components can be used and customization can be added in a flexible way. You can also use Kustomize, where YAML manifests files are merged with site-specific information which may be generated dynamically. Because of the flexible way in which site-specific information and generic code are decoupled, using Helm charts or Kustomize is preferred, even if it would work if you just put all of your resources in a YAML file. So let's explore Helm and Kustomize.
