The VP of Engineering will drive the technical roadmap, architectural decisions across agile teams, and production quality. This leader will also champion the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to keep our products at the cutting edge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Own end‑to‑end architecture and technology strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, high‑performance systems
- Set standards and drive key technical decisions across platforms, design, and technical debt
- Lead full‑stack engineering excellence with hands‑on guidance, ensuring high‑quality design and code
- Own cloud and DevOps strategy (Azure, CI/CD, reliability, security, observability)
- Drive execution discipline through best practices, agile delivery, and clear engineering metrics
- Lead AI and emerging technology adoption to accelerate innovation and competitive advantage
- Build, scale, and lead high‑performing teams; develop leaders and strengthen culture
- Partner with leadership team to align engineering strategy with desired business outcomes and communicate with impact
QUALIFICATION AND COMPENTENCIES
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership, with a proven record of delivering complex, large‑scale systems
- Deep full‑stack and architectural expertise across Angular/TypeScript, Node.js, .NET, APIs, microservices, MongoDB, SQL, and Azure cloud services
- Strong command of cloud and DevOps practices, including Azure architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, and engineering tooling (Jira, Confluence)
- Solid grounding in modern architectures and engineering practices (microservices, event‑driven, DDD, serverless, testing, Agile delivery)
- Expertise in AI/LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, model integration, and cost/safety considerations
- Proven leadership and organizational capability, including scaling teams, developing talent, and influencing senior stakeholders
- Relational - builds strong, trust‑based relationships through authenticity, empathy, and clear, respectful communication
- Adaptable - demonstrates adaptability by navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving business needs with agility
- Resilient - shows resilience with a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset; maintains focus and momentum through challenges
- Problem Solver - applies structured, analytical thinking to identify issues, evaluate trade‑offs, and deliver effective, practical solutions
