Senior Manager, Analytics


Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on Senior Manager of Analytics to lead a growing analytics function within a premier sports and entertainment organization. This individual will serve as a key partner to executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams, transforming data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth, fan engagement, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and leadership experience, with a proven ability to build scalable analytics solutions and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.


Responsibilities:

Analytics Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.
  • Develop and execute the company's analytics roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities where analytics can drive measurable business impact.
  • Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance measurement methodologies across key business functions.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of executive dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools.
  • Deliver actionable insights related to ticket sales, sponsorship performance, marketing effectiveness, fan engagement, digital products, and operational performance.
  • Create recurring executive-level reporting packages and presentations for senior leadership.

Fan, Marketing & Revenue Analytics

  • Analyze fan behavior across ticketing, CRM, digital, and marketing platforms to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing teams to measure campaign performance, audience segmentation, customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Support revenue-generating functions including ticketing, premium seating, partnerships, merchandise, and concessions through advanced analytics and forecasting.

Data & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Product, Technology, Finance, and Business Operations teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Translate complex business questions into analytical frameworks and scalable solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize analytics initiatives and deliver impactful recommendations.

Advanced Analytics & Forecasting

  • Develop predictive models and forecasting methodologies to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Leverage statistical analysis, experimentation, and data storytelling techniques to influence decision-making.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading high-performing analytics teams.
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to work across large, complex datasets.
  • Experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar BI tools.
  • Strong experience with Python and/or R for advanced analytics and automation.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights effectively to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.


Preferred

  • Experience within professional sports, sports betting, media, entertainment, ticketing, or consumer-facing digital businesses.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, customer data platforms (CDPs), and marketing analytics tools.
  • Experience with cloud data environments such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, customer segmentation, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
