Position Overview

Our client, a well-established commercial mechanical contractor based in Denver, is hiring a Project Engineer to support their construction operations. The position is well-suited for someone with strong construction fundamentals, a mechanical background, and an understanding of how field teams operate. They have an excellent reputation for quality of service and work across a varied project portfolio of Commercial, Mission Critical, MUSH and Light Industrial builds. The role offers clear project exposure and a defined path toward a future Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project execution
• Manage and track submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation
• Support procurement activities and material tracking
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Participate in mechanical job walks as needed
• Maintain accurate project documentation and schedules
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines

Qualifications

• Background in commercial mechanical construction (preferred)
• Mechanical engineering degree or mechanical trade background strongly preferred
• Experience working with or coming from the field side is highly valued
• Strong understanding of GC coordination and construction workflows
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
