Landscape Architect

Expectations

The Designer is learning the principles of landscape architecture including design, site analysis and planning, computer aided design and drafting technologies, 3D and visualization technologies and has exposure to the principles of ecology, planting design and plant material. The Designer works closely with Project Designers and Associates and their work is overseen by a Senior team member. The Designer demonstrates increasing competency in OJB tools and technologies and assists in the creation of project documentation deliverables.

Roles + Responsibilities

• Works under the direction and oversight of Principal, Director, Sr. Associate or Associate
• Demonstrates basic understanding of OJB Processes & Standards (drawing conventions, file management, time reporting)
• Demonstrates familiarity with and basic competency in OJB Software Programs (VW, AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign)
• Participates in project meetings and produces accurate meeting minutes
• Assists project team with project documentation, design development and redlines and develops fundamental understanding of document set components
• Responsible for 1-2 Special Projects (Technology, Office Management, File Management etc.)
