Evaluate insurance applications and submissions for completeness; determine acceptance or need for further evaluation; and process within 48 hours. Provide additional administrative assistance as required.
Primary Duties
Receive and process enrollment transactions in the CareFirst HUB portal. Requests may come direct or be pulled from department enrollment inbox.
Review all transactions for compliance, timeliness and accuracy prior to processing.
Ensure accuracy and return errors to be corrected.
Process enrollment requests for other carriers as required. EBCA ability to process transactions for additional carriers such as Anthem, Sentara, etc. is continuing to grow and will require increased processing for this role.
With EBCA increased role in Employee Navigator processes, Enrollment Specialist will take lead on Employee Navigator group implementation and set up, and subsequent enrollments.
Provide internal and external customer service.
Ensure compliance, timeliness and documentation issues are addressed for transactions pulled monthly by Audit by CareFirst.

Minimum Educational/Experience Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Minimum one year general administrative experience
Minimum Skill Qualifications
Strong attention to detail orientation
Initiative
Highly proficient in MS Office
Effective in both verbal and written communications
Excellent organizational skills
Proven customer focus
Preferred Qualifications
Prior health insurance experience preferred but not required.
