Director, Commercial Analytics

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Market Research Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end qualitative and quantitative PMR engagements across the product lifecycle.
  • Design discussion guides, surveys, and research methodologies to address key business questions.
  • Lead PMR surveys with HCPs, KOLs, patients, payers, IDNs, and advocacy organizations.
  • Translate research findings into strategic recommendations for commercial and medical teams.
  • Develop longitudinal research programs to monitor evolving market dynamics.

Market Intelligence Leadership

  • Build integrated market intelligence ecosystems combining internal and external data sources.
  • Monitor therapeutic area trends, epidemiology, treatment paradigms, and market evolution.
  • Develop executive dashboards and strategic intelligence reports.
  • Support portfolio planning and investment prioritization decisions.
  • Identify growth opportunities and market expansion strategies.

Competitive Intelligence Leadership

  • Establish robust CI frameworks to monitor competitors, pipelines, clinical trials, regulatory events, and congress activity.
  • Lead war-gaming exercises and competitive scenario planning.
  • Develop competitor profiles and strategic response recommendations.
  • Create early warning systems for emerging market threats and opportunities.
  • Deliver executive-level competitive assessments.

Forecasting Leadership

  • Lead strategic forecasting initiatives for pre-launch and in-market assets.
  • Develop patient-based and analog-based forecasting models.
  • Integrate epidemiology, patient journey, treatment algorithms, market access, and adoption curves.
  • Build sensitivity analyses and scenario-based forecasting frameworks.
  • Partner with commercial, finance, and portfolio teams to optimize investment decisions.

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.
  • Present strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and C-suite executives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Analytics organizations.
  • Drive innovation through AI-enabled intelligence solutions.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of biopharmaceutical experience in Primary Market Research, Market Intelligence, Competitive Intelligence, Forecasting, Commercial Analytics, or Strategic Consulting.
  • Deep expertise across the pharmaceutical product lifecycle, including pre-launch, launch, and in-market products.
  • Strong understanding of HCP, patient, payer, and market access dynamics.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-scale strategic initiatives.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing global teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive strategic decisions.
  • Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPH, MS, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent).

Base Salary Range: [180k] – [230K]

The compensation range displayed reflects the full span of pay across all of our U.S. geographic pay areas and experience levels. Your actual base salary offer will be determined based on multiple factors, including:

• Geographic Pay Area (US 1 through US 5, reflecting cost-of-labor differences)

• Experience & Qualifications relevant to the role

• Internal Equity alignment with employees in similar roles and levels

What This Means for You

• The minimum of the posted range represents the starting point for candidates in the lowest cost-of-labor pay areas (US 5).

• The maximum of the posted range represents the upper threshold for candidates in the highest cost-of-labor pay areas (US 1 / US 2).

• Candidates are aligned to pay areas based on their primary work location.

Benefits Overview

This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; life and disability insurance; a 401(k)-retirement plan; seven (7) sick leave days, vacation paid time off, and paid holidays; all in accordance with Company plans.
