We're seeking a talented Communications Specialist for a 6-month contract opportunity (with potential for extension) supporting a leading global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to discovering and delivering innovative medicines that address complex health issues and enhance people's lives.
Location: Mettawa, IL (Hybrid – onsite 3 days per week required)
Duration: 6 months
Employment Type: Contract (C2C considered; competitive hourly rate)
Join team to develop and execute impactful internal communication strategies.
In this high-visibility role, you'll deliver clear, engaging messaging to diverse stakeholders, strengthen team branding, boost employee engagement, and support critical organizational objectives.
You'll contribute to high-impact, high-visibility projects while collaborating across U.S. and international teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize standardized communication templates with consistent branding to keep team members informed on key updates, including team announcements, project milestones, new procedures, and reminders
- Provide dedicated communication support for major initiatives (e.g., End-to-End processes and Next Gen CRM implementations), delivering timely, transparent project status updates
- Craft clear, concise, and engaging written content tailored to varied audiences
- Develop, maintain, and reinforce communication frameworks and internal processes
- Proactively coordinate and engage with stakeholders across functions and geographies (U.S. and global)
- Create and update professional PowerPoint presentations and supporting materials for leadership meetings and stakeholder communications
- Produce engaging tutorial/explainer videos to support project rollouts, organizational changes, and new technology introductions
- Draft project documentation, newsletters, articles, and other internal communications
- Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and initiatives
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing abilities with a proven track record of synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable messages
- Experience supporting cross-functional and/or global projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint)
- Hands-on experience with creative tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Staffbase, and/or Figma
- Demonstrated experience creating tutorial or explainer videos
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills
- Confidence communicating across diverse teams, both domestically and internationally
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high-visibility deliverables
