Chief Medical Officer

We have been retained by an exciting preclinical biotech on a CMO search. Having had an oversubscribed Series A last year, the company is at an inflection point, transitioning from preclinical to clinical stage, scaling its leadership team and capabilities to support study start and execution, regulatory strategy, and scientific engagement.

The company's science is built on a novel, differentiated small-molecule approach, with the lead program currently at IND-enabling stage with a number of additional exciting preclinical assets having been identified.

The company has assembled an experienced leadership team spanning R&D, clinical development, finance and business development, creating a strong platform for early clinical success and future growth. The CMO will be joining at a pivotal moment, with responsibility for shaping and delivering the company’s clinical and medical strategy as it transitions into a clinical-stage organization.

- Ideally you are a boarded physician with extensive experience of working in the cardiometabolic space

- You should be a player-coach who is willing and able to roll up their sleeves and 'do' as well as build a team

- You should have demonstrated experience of having worked across the gamut of development, from IND-enabling through registration-enabling studies - having written protocols and led development teams

- You must have experience of working in biotech in a senior leadership position

- You should have exemplary communication skills with the ability to operate at Board level, speak with investors and external stakeholders

- You can be located in Europe or the US (MUST be East Coast)
