Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales – North America, Healthcare, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a market facing executive role responsible for driving growth, elevating Connexall’s visibility at the CIO/CTO level, and deepening executive level engagement across the healthcare ecosystem.
This role is not responsible for internal IT operations. Instead, it serves as Connexall’s senior information and technology voice to the market to engage healthcare technology leaders, shaping Connexall’s presence in the industry, and partnering with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Clinical teams to align product capabilities with customer needs and operational priorities. This role is focused on sales enablement at the senior leadership level.
Primary Responsibilities
Partner with the executive leadership team to shape and execute Connexall’s growth strategy, including expansion into new markets, customers, and strategic partnerships
Support sales and business development efforts through executive relationship-building with health systems, vendors, and industry partners
Engage with prospective customers to understand their technology challenges and align Connexall’s solutions to their strategic priorities
Support existing customer growth by partnering with Account Executives and Account Managers to build C-level relationships and elevate Connexall’s strategic presence.
Collaborate with the CNIO, VP of Sales, SVP Sales and Marketing, and CEO to enable lead generation and pipeline development by influencing executive decision-makers throughout the sales cycle
Engage confidently with C-suite and senior stakeholders in hospitals, health systems, IDNs, and LTC facilities.
Participate in executive presentations, product demonstrations, discovery sessions, and proposal development.
Partner with Account Executives, Account Managers and Sales Directors to support pipeline development, deal strategy, and opportunity progression.
Contribute technical and strategic insights to proposals, RFP responses, and solution design to ensure alignment with customer priorities and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical and market feedback to Product, Leadership, Sales and Marketing teams to inform roadmap and positioning.
Provide strategic input on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights to inform product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
Represent Connexall at CHIME and other healthcare technology conferences, forums, and industry events.
Build credibility and awareness for Connexall by engaging directly with external CIOs, CMIOs, CNOs, CNIOs, IT Leaders, and other healthcare executives.
Act as a trusted advisor and peer to customer executives, providing insight into healthcare interoperability, clinical workflows, and digital transformation.
Position Connexall as a thought leader within the clinical care and healthcare IT community.
Clearly articulate the business, clinical, and operational value of Connexall’s platform within complex healthcare environments.
In partnership with Sales and Marketing, translate technical capabilities into outcomes-focused messaging tailored to executive audiences.
Stay current on healthcare technology trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics impacting healthcare.
Provide executive-level input to product, clinical, sales, and marketing teams based on market intelligence and customer feedback.
Support go-to-market messaging by ensuring consistency between customer needs, product capabilities, and business strategy.
Work closely with the CNIO, VP of Sales, SVP Sales and Marketing, and CEO to align digital strategies with clinical priorities.
Ensure seamless integration of technology platforms, cybersecurity compliance, and innovation roadmaps that support clinical workflows and enhance patient outcomes.
Align priorities and operational activities with internal Connexall departments and teams
Evolve this role with a longer-term view, enhancing and adjusting accountabilities as needed to increase the sales pipeline and deals closure rate

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field required
Master’s degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MHA, MS in Health Informatics, or equivalent)
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare technology, health IT, or digital health environments
Prior experience serving as a CIO, Deputy CIO, CTO, Chief Digital Officer, or equivalent senior executive role within a healthcare organization, health system, or healthcare technology vendor
Demonstrated experience engaging with C-suite executives in complex healthcare environments
Proven track record supporting business development, revenue growth, or strategic partnerships in a customer-facing role
Strong understanding of acute care operations, clinical workflows, interoperability, and healthcare IT ecosystems
Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence and advise senior decision-makers
Comfortable representing an organization externally as a thought leader and trusted industry peer
Executive presence with the ability to build credibility and trust quickly at the C-suite level
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and clinical value propositions
Strategic thinker with a growth-oriented mindset and strong commercial acumen
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills tailored to executive audiences
High emotional intelligence, with the ability to influence without authority
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to align cross-functional teams to shared objectives

Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when representing Connexall externally
