POSITION OVERVIEW


As Business Development Manager, Kaitlyn Wolfe will lead strategic growth initiatives across

our ecosystem: our luxury design firm (residential + commercial), Trust the Process

(design-build), and our product lines (Shop My Warehouse, SUBSTRATE, and GROUND

FLOOR). This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building and

maintaining client relationships, and increasing sales across design services and retail

offerings.


This is an in-person role that requires strong presence in the market, consistent face-to-face

relationship building, and active engagement in the design and development community. You

will act as both a growth strategist and brand ambassador - connecting clients to the full

scope of our capabilities from concept through execution and product integration.



RESPONSIBILITIES


Drive Business Growth Across All Verticals

  • Proactively source, pitch, and secure new business opportunities across residential,

commercial, and hospitality sectors

- Luxury residential and commercial design services

- Trust the Process (design-build projects)

- Product lines: Shop My Warehouse, Substrate, and Ground Floor

  • Identify and penetrate new markets, partnerships, and revenue channels
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline that balances near-term wins with long-term, high-value

projects


Cultivate High-Value, In-Person Relationships

  • Serve as the face of the brand across all offerings—design, build, and product
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, designers, builders, and

key decision-makers

  • Actively network through meetings, site visits, events, and industry engagements
  • Position the firm as a go-to partner for full-service, design-forward solutions


Run Projects from Quote to Completion

  • Identify opportunities to integrate:

- Interior design services

- Design-build execution (Trust the Process)

- Product solutions across all lines

  • Clearly communicate the value of a vertically integrated approach
  • Drive cross-functional opportunities across all business units
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless transition from business development to

execution


Lead the Sales Process from Opportunity to Close

  • Present services and capabilities with clarity and a strong understanding of design and

construction workflows

  • Develop tailored proposals aligned with client goals and project scope
  • Negotiate and close deals that align with company growth objectives
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and revenue forecasting


Collaborate with Leadership & Internal Teams

  • Provide real-time market feedback to inform branding, marketing, and service offerings
  • Support and participate in events, partnerships, and activations that elevate brand presence
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities



MONTHLY METRICS/GOALS


Lead Generation & Pipeline Growth

  • Proactively identify and generate 15-25 qualified new leads per month to ensure consistent

growth

  • Drive revenue opportunities by adding $500K-$2M+ in potential project value to the

pipeline monthly

  • Prioritize face-to-face engagement by scheduling 12-20 in-person meetings with qualified

prospects

  • Maintain market presence through 6-10 site visits or project walkthroughs each month
  • Cultivate high-value networks by securing 3-5 new strategic referral relationships per

quarter

  • Actively represent the brand at 4-6 networking or industry events monthly


Sales & Revenue

  • Design Services

- Successfully secure 1-3 new design projects per month

- Consistently generate $75K-$250K+ in monthly contracted design fees

  • Trust The Process (TTP)

- Successfully secure 1+ design-build (Trust the Process) projects per month or

quarter, depending on project scale

- Generate $250K-$2M+ in construction contract value monthly

  • Product Sales

- Generate $15K-$50K+ monthly product sales across SUBSTRATE, Shop My

Warehouse, and GROUND FLOOR


Relationship Development

  • Maintain active relationships with:

- 10+ Developers

- 15+ Architects/Designers

- 15+ Builders/Contractors

  • Conduct:

- 10 relationship touch-points weekly

  • Host/Coordinate:

- 1-5 partner meetings per month


Brand Presence & Market Feasibility

  • Represent the company at:

- 2-4 trade shows, panels, or luxury industry events monthly

  • Contribute:

- 5-10 pieces of market feedback/insights to leadership

  • Participate in:

- Project installs/shoots/photography

- Showroom events

- Launch activations


Operations & Reporting KPIʼs

  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM (Client Relationship Management) lead funnel with all leads &

prospective clients

  • Conduct follow-ups within 48 hours
  • Submit weekly pipeline/activity reports
  • Attend weekly team & business development meetings
  • Ensure smooth hand-off of prospects to operations team
  • Maintain pipeline value at 3-5x monthly revenue goal


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proven success in business development, sales, or partnerships—preferably within:

- Interior design

- Architecture or construction

- Design-build or real estate development

- High-end furniture, materials, or design products

  • Strong, active network within residential, commercial, and/or hospitality industries
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or related field (preferred)
  • 3-7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role
  • Experience in interior design, furniture, retail, or a related industry strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals
  • Strong network within the design, real estate, or construction industries is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close high-value deals
  • Experience navigating complex, project-based sales cycles
  • Ability to thrive in an in-person, relationship-driven environment
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and strategic
