Business Analyst

Position Summary: The focus of the role is to assist in documenting business requirements for various projects and initiatives. Work with customers to understand their current and desired future states. The role will involve business process analysis and design, and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Business Analyst will focus on business process improvement, working closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges, diagnose root causes, and provide clear, business-focused solutions. This is not a technical BA role. The emphasis is on operational analysis, workflow optimization, and solving business problems. The role may also assist in capturing and documenting business requirements for new projects.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Partner with users and stakeholders to understand business challenges.
• Identify root causes behind operational pain points.
• Conduct deep dive reviews of current processes and workflows.
• Recommend solutions that improve efficiency and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to define issues and shape solution direction.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and create insight driven recommendations.
• Build process maps and documentation using Visio or Lucidchart.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong understanding of how systems and business processes function (baseline/non technical).
• Proficiency with:
• Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office Suite
• Visio / Lucidchart for process flows
• Experience supporting or working within a technology related environment.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements.
• Degree flexibility—technical, business, or liberal arts degrees acceptable with demonstrated analytical experience.
