Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This role will be critical in supporting our leadership and sales teams by delivering insights from retail data platforms such as SPINS and Numerator, maintaining and updating financial models, and managing trade and promotional spend analytics.


The Business Analyst will also collaborate closely with the sales team to develop compelling sales presentations for key retail partners, helping to tell a data-driven story that supports growth and partnership goals.


The ideal candidate will have strong Excel/Google Sheets expertise, experience working with syndicated data platforms, and a solid understanding of systems integration to ensure seamless data flow across tools and teams.


Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Insights (SPINS & Numerator):

  • Analyze retail sales and shopper data using SPINS and Numerator platforms.
  • Deliver actionable insights and trends to sales, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Create dashboards and reports to monitor performance across key retail channels.
  • Support sales strategy and account planning with data-backed recommendations.


Sales Presentation Support:

  • Partner with the sales team to create retailer-facing presentations that highlight brand performance, market trends, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling visuals and narratives tailored to retail buyers.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across sales materials using up-to-date data from internal and external sources.


Financial Modeling & Forecasting:

  • Update and maintain monthly financial models based on actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with Finance to align projections with business goals.
  • Analyze variances between forecast and actuals and provide explanations to key stakeholders.


Trade & Promo Spend Analytics:

  • Manage and maintain data platforms that track trade and promotional spending.
  • Evaluate ROI of trade and promotional programs and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure accuracy and alignment of spend data.


Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, dynamic dashboards, macros, etc.).
  • Experience with SPINS, Numerator, or similar syndicated data platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to turn data into visual stories using PowerPoint, Google Slides, or other presentation tools.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
