Sameer Deen shared thisThe last few weeks took us to SBC Summit, Global Gaming Expo, and the National Basketball Association (NBA) Innovation Summit in Macau. For me, the best part of these events is the time spent sitting down with clients. Nothing beats a 30-minute coffee chat for hearing whats working, whats not and where they need us next. Standout was hearing Carsten Koerl lay out at SBC where fan engagement is heading. In Macau seeing up close what our AI product team is developing for basketball was inspiring. Plenty to be excited about. Huge thanks to everyone I got to catch up with, familiar faces and new ones alike. Until next time.

Sameer Deen shared thisA little over three months in as COO at Sportradar, and today is a great snapshot of why I came. We went live with Polymarket across more than 20 leagues providing official data, fan engagement solutions, marketing and integrity services. Prediction markets have developed as a real category faster than anything I've seen in years in betting and media. Our deal with Polymarket only happens if the rights and the infrastructure are already in place. It’s also a great example of how Sportradar is positioned at the intersection of growth across both OSBs and prediction markets. Great work by the teams making this happen. #Polymarket #PredictionMarketsSameer Deen shared thisWe are pleased to announce a significant expansion of our strategic relationship with Polymarket, providing Sportradar's sports data, live odds, streaming, fan engagement, marketing, and integrity solutions through 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘳 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴. Spanning more than 20 global sports leagues and competitions with approximately 300,000 matches annually, we’re bringing the deepest and broadest content portfolio in the industry to one of the largest prediction markets in the U.S. With this agreement, Sportradar continues to cement its role as the foundational infrastructure powering this ecosystem. Sameer Deen liked thisSameer Deen liked thisOver the last 15 years, no one has pushed my thinking or raised my ambition more than Vinod Khosla. It was time for Zocdoc’s leadership team to benefit from the same. Last week, Vinod joined our Leadership Offsite in NYC as we kicked off 2027 planning. His message to us was simple: Zocdoc is in a unique position, and our biggest risk in this next chapter is not being bold enough. A few takeaways from Vinod that stuck with our team: • Keep asking: “Why not?” • It is better to try and fail than fail to try. • If you think you cannot, you cannot. • Do not aim to make something 20% better. Aim for 10x. It forces you into an entirely different solution space. The impact of his talk was immediate. By the next session, teams were questioning assumptions and raising their ambition for what we could build. Patients deserve more than incremental progress. Heading into next year, we’re setting our sights higher on what we can do for them — and for everyone who serves them.

Sameer Deen liked thisBoomSameer Deen liked thisThis season, bwin goes back to its natural territory in Spain: football legends and epic humour. The legend this time is none other than Dani Güiza: La Liga’s last Spanish top scorer with 27 goals. And, off the pitch, one of Spanish football’s most iconic interviews. Favourite film: Torrente. Favourite actor: Torrente. Favourite actress: “the fishmonger from Torrente”. Sincere. Unforgettable. Slightly short on explosions. So we gave him a scar, a brutal sword, American fighter jets, rockslides, explosions, a philharmonic orchestra, a chorus, an epic voice… and a risk-free welcome offer because you never know. Heroes have the right to be mundane, but we are in the trade of making things exciting. Thanks to the amazing team at el Ruso de Rocky for having fun with us. #bwin #LaLiga #Torrente #publicidad

Sameer Deen liked thisSameer Deen liked thisFor nearly 15 years, I sent Tim Cook a weekly report every Sunday night on the global App Store business. My team and I packed it with data, charts, and commentary on what was happening around the world. Most weeks: silence. Every so often, a probing question would come back about a specific metric or market. Or, better, a note congratulating us on a strong quarter. Those reports taught me a lot about discipline and accountability. No matter where I was in the world, I sent that report. Tim expected his leaders to know their businesses cold. Whenever I put anything in front of him, I needed to understand not just the numbers, but what was driving them and what we were doing about it. His expectations made me a much better leader. On my last day at Apple, Tim and I had a 10-minute 1:1 scheduled. We talked for 30. Reflecting on my 21 years at the company, he told me my greatest accomplishment wasn’t helping build a $1 trillion App Store ecosystem or helping scale the business to more than one billion customers. It was the team I had built and the leaders I had developed who were ready to step up after I left. That meant the world to me. We took this photo together right after that conversation. Today is Tim’s last day as CEO of Apple. Much has been written about what he and the company accomplished under his leadership. But perhaps his greatest legacy is the one he taught me to value: the people he developed, the culture he shaped, and the leaders ready to carry it forward. I’ll always be grateful I got to be a part of it.

Sameer Deen liked thisSameer Deen liked thisI was an undrafted rookie with a $2,000 signing bonus when Tom Brady walked up and introduced himself. It was my first day in New England, I was 21, and I was still digging through my bag making sure I had my notebook and everything else for meetings. I felt somebody walking toward me and I just kept getting more flustered, and then he got close and said, hey Kenny, I'm Tom. I was too star struck to get much of anything back. What I found out later was that the whole building did it. The vets learned the rookies before we ever showed up, where we went to school, all of that. And it was our job as rookies to do the same, that was the culture. If the best player in the world knows the guy with the least amount of money invested in him, you start believing you're supposed to be there. After I left New England to play in Indianapolis I made it my thing to learn the names of everyone in the building, front office to custodial staff, because someone did that for me. The person vacuuming the carpet after practice matters the same to me as the guy under center.

Great insights on the future of the sports media industry. Deloitte Insights: 2026 Global Sports Industry Outlook "Ownership groups aren’t simply assembling teams; they’re building cross-industry platforms that combine sports, media rights, content studios, video games, fan data, real estate, and more to drive commercial value and meet consumers’ appetites for elevated fan experiences—on the field, in the venue, and well beyond." https://lnkd.in/e6nC-9MR Deloitte

What used to take days now takes minutes ⏱️ By moving away from manual tracking and third-party vendors to our new AI-powered solution, Scripps Sports reduced their reporting turnaround time from days to just 30 minutes. I’m incredibly proud of the team for launching our Brand Proof-of-Air capability. It’s a game-changer for broadcasters and rights holders who need to provide instant, transparent value to their sponsors. You can read more about it below ⬇️

The road to 2030 in sports media is underway. 💪 Today, our CEO Daniel Shichman introduced a new operating model for how rights holders can structure content, data, and revenue in an always-on environment. Why is this shift needed? Because reach alone no longer defines success. The next phase of sports media requires a connected system that turns moments into data, data into insight, and insight into measurable commercial impact. Competitive advantage will come from building systems that get stronger with every fan interaction. Learn more and watch the full session 📽️ ➡️ https://lnkd.in/emDQwrDs

Instead of choosing between streaming and cable, we’re doing both to reach millions of South American soccer fans in the US, right as the 2026 World Cup momentum kicks in. We’re launching Fanatiz 1, our new 24/7 linear channel delivering up to 15 live games a week, including Brasileirão Serie A, Peru's Liga1, and Venezuela’s FUTVE, straight to US Pay TV. We are also excited to confirm DirecTV as our first major distribution partner, bringing Fanatiz 1 directly to their subscribers across the US. My thoughts in Sportcal on the launch of Fanatiz 1. https://lnkd.in/d7h56wMr Fanatiz #SportsBiz #Streaming #Fanatiz #SportsMedia #DirecTV

🏟️ Most sports organizations still treat content as something they produce once and move past. The panel at last month's Business France Sports Business Summit made the case that this is the wrong way to think about it. Dalet's Marcy Lefkovitz sat down with leaders from the National Football League (NFL), the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans, and ScorePlay to unpack how AI, content, and data are reshaping fan engagement and revenue in sports. 5 lessons from that conversation below, with insights from Amanda Herald, Victorien Tixier and Shirin Braden 👇
