Here’s something counterintuitive: You can increase your IVR call containment rate from 85% to 95% (no human transfer) just by making the bot sound better. That ~10% delta may not sound dramatic, but for a large enterprise with millions of inbound calls a year, it translates into millions of dollars saved. No overhaul. No AGI. No need to orchestrate multi-turn agents with planning and tool use. All it takes is a voice people are actually willing to talk to.
