He is also responsible for technical oversight and leadership in Hyperledger, Apache, Kafka, Cloud Foundry, Cloud Native Compute Foundation, Open Container Initiative, Docker and more. Chris leads a team of engineers who are contributing to those communities and more. He works across IBM to drive adoption of these technologies. He was elected Chair of the Hyperledger Technical Steering Committee for three successive terms. Chris is also a contributor, maintainer and release manageron the Hyperledger Fabric project.<br><br>Former chair the WS-I Basic Profile Working Group and the W3C XML Protocols WG which produced the SOAP1.2 standards, Chis also co-chaired of the W3C WS-Policy WG that published the WS-Policy 1.5 W3C Recommendations.<br><br>Chris was elected member of the OASIS Technical Advisory Board. Additionally, He was an author and editor of the IBM/Microsoft/BEA/Tibco WS-Reliable Messaging and WS-RM Policy Assertion specifications and now serve as a member of the OASIS WS-RX TC that is working on the standardization of that work.<br><br>Prior to joining IBM, Chris was at Sun Microsystems for 12 1/2 years where he served as chair of the W3C Web Services Architecture WG and as Sun's representative on the W3C XML Protocols WG, the OASIS ebXML Messaging TC, and the OASIS Security Services TC.
