Jose Angelo Gallegos shared thisHow did the “A Diamond is Forever” campaign turn diamonds into the must-have gem for engagement rings? My new video dives into the story behind one of the most successful advertising campaigns in history and its lasting cultural impact. As I researched this campaign, I realized that many “traditions” we follow were actually created by marketers and executives. It makes me wonder—what other beliefs or customs might have been shaped by influential ad campaigns? #marketingcampaigns #advertising

Jose Angelo Gallegos shared thisI recently challenged myself to get in front of the camera more. As I work on growing my personal brand, I know I need to put myself out there and find something to talk about. The problem is, I dread the idea of becoming another marketing 'expert' who talks about the same redundant topics like AI or 'game-changing' hacks that don’t actually change anything. When I studied advertising in college, I was fascinated by the history of ads—how some of the most famous campaigns were created and how relevant their lessons are today. So, I decided to launch an advertising history video series where I explore the stories and controversies behind the most famous marketing campaigns and ad mascots. I’m not sure how many people share my interest in advertising history, but at least I’m having fun following my curiosity and learning along the way. My first video is about Tony the Tiger’s history and the current controversies surrounding him. More videos to come!

Jose Angelo Gallegos shared thisJose Angelo Gallegos shared thisMarketers struggle to provide their audiences with a steady stream of engaging content. While videos are more captivating and generate better conversions than images or text, they are expensive and tedious to produce. As a content creator, I've experimented with various short-form videos for my clients on social media, and notice most viewers drop off around 10 seconds. Not surprising. Healthy attention spans are hard to come by . How do marketers grab their audience’s attention without keeping them waiting, and avoid throwing money at videos no one finishes? The solution? Cinemagraphs. Cinemagraphs are produced at a fraction of the cost of short videos, while still extending the value of a marketer’s visual asset library. Since providing clients with cinemagraphs for their ads on Instagram and Facebook (the only social media platforms with autoplay and looping capabilities), they've received nearly 5x the engagement and 2x the conversions than their other content. If you want to explore ways to grab attention with cinemagraphs, let's chat! I'm also working on a tutorial on how to make your own cinemagraphs. If you're interested in learning, comment with your e-mail below and I'll keep you updated! Now for some whiskey. (Source: GitHub)

Jose Angelo Gallegos liked thisJose Angelo Gallegos liked this"I don't care about the interface, show me where the data lives." That's what Chris Millet, MBA told me when I asked him whether will accountants spend their time in the future. Chris, is a Managing Director at Baker Tilly and has nearly 30 years in accounting, and one of the most forward-thinking people I've talked to in the industry. He remembers August 13th. That's the day NetSuite launched its MCP. He remembers the exact date because of how excited he was about what it could unlock. When I asked him if it was hard for him to convince his team to start using LLMs in their workflow, it was until he said he personally showed them how it can take the grunt work out of their life. He started experimenting with it himself, then pushed it across his team of ~60 people. Now, every other week, the team gets together and shows each other what they've built with AI and NetSuite. Eventually they hit limits — they needed access to custom records, more control over prompts, and the kind of auditability you need when the output actually matters. So Chris and Ryan, their Director of Product Development, started building their own internal NetSuite MCP. But the most interesting part of the conversation wasn't the MCP. It was when I asked Chris where he thinks accountants will actually spend their time as these models get better. His answer, essentially: "I don't care about the interface. Show me the data." Where is it? How good is it? Can I trust it? Can I trace it? His bet is that models get so capable that the interface fades in importance, what matters is the ONTOLOGY of the underlying objects. We talked about some of what we're building at Finlens — deferred revenue, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, Stripe Revenue Recognition — things that are handled natively inside NetSuite but not accessible to companies that are on QuickBooks. One more thing that stuck with me: Chris says everyone he hires should be smarter than him. After 30 years in the industry, he's still experimenting first and building a culture where 60 people teach each other what they've discovered. The accountants who win in the AI era won't be the ones who predict the future correctly. They'll be the ones curious enough to go build it. Huge thanks to Alexis Favre and Ruben Burdin fellow YC alums and founders of Stacksync - Integration Cloud for hosting the Agentic Finance Workshop!

Jose Angelo Gallegos liked thisJose Angelo Gallegos liked thisA good friend is someone that will tell you that you suck when it's warranted. It's the hard thing to do vs projecting all sunshine and rainbows. Turns out my LinkedIn profile & experience were in total disarray, stemming from a time when I was a king-of-the-hill Tech Lead at Meta, and I didn't have time for recruiter reach-outs. "It looks like you're trying hard not to try hard". And that's exactly what I was doing. He's a founder that I deeply admire, and, no, he didn't use the words "you suck". But I realized that, even though I spent significant time revamping the resume for the job hunt, I had a huge blind spot. Any constructive feedback the new copy for my experiences or intro would be much appreciated. Link in the comments. Here's a photo of us mini golfing a few weeks ago. Thanks for helping me grow.

Most growth-stage SaaS marketing teams don't have an SEO problem. You have an execution problem. And it shows up as chaos: 6 docs with 6 different definitions of your category, 4 writers interpreting positioning their own way, and a pile of “good content” that never reinforces the same point of view. SEO tools and AI writing tools can spit out outputs all day. That doesn't mean you're running demand gen. Prompts create pages. They don't create a system that keeps your narrative consistent across acquisition, education, evaluation, product, proof. This is why a lot of teams feel stuck. You're not short on ideas. You're short on a deterministic pipeline that can ship consistently without a coordination tax. The GEO era makes this worse. LLMs don't reward random acts of content. They reward consistency, clear definitions, and repeated signals that stack up over time. If your category story drifts every week, you lose visibility. Quietly. Oleno is built for that reality. It's demand-generation execution software for marketing teams. Not another AI writer. The core idea is simple: 1) governance layer: voice, positioning, differentiators, rules. plus canonical product and feature definitions that get injected automatically 2) job-based execution: content mapped to the funnel (acquire, category educate, evaluate, product, proof) 3) orchestration: the Orchestrator runs the engine so your team isn't copy/pasting, re-briefing, and QA'ing the same things forever And instead of a pile of disconnected tools, you get a platform with studios that match how marketing actually works: Category Studio, Competitive Studio, Programmatic SEO Studio, Product Marketing Studio, Buyer Enablement Studio, and an Executive Dashboard that shows what's shipping and what's landing. If you're a Head of Marketing trying to run a full GTM motion with a team of 2 to 5 people, what's your actual plan for consistency at scale? That's the whole bet: strategy stays human. execution becomes a system. every asset reinforces the same signal. Oleno pricing for Full-Funnel GEO starts at $449/month.

Let's talk about what a GOOD HubSpot implementation actually looks like, because many people genuinely might not know. A good implementation means: ✅ Duplicate contact rate under 2% (not 15%+) ✅ Every custom property has a clear purpose and documentation ✅ Workflows are tested, monitored, and have error handling ✅ Email bounce rate under 2% (not 8%+) ✅ Pipeline stages match your ACTUAL sales process ✅ At least 80% of your team actively uses the platform weekly ✅ Integrations sync reliably without constant manual fixes ✅ You can generate revenue attribution reports in under 60 seconds ✅ Your partner responds to support requests within 24 hours ✅ Everything is documented so you're not dependent on one person ✅ Dashboards show metrics that actually matter to your business ✅ You're using at least 70% of the features you're paying for If you read that list and thought "wait, is that even possible?"—your implementation failed. If you read that list and thought "lol we have NONE of those"—your implementation failed spectacularly. The good news? All of these are fixable. You don't need to start over. You need a rescue.

Leads dropping off? Conversions stuck? You might have a funnel structure problem. Here are 7 red flags your B2B funnel needs a serious upgrade: > Low conversion rates across stages > High churn + low retention > Inconsistent brand messaging > Poor-quality leads flooding your pipeline > Overdependence on one traffic source > Misalignment between sales and marketing > No visibility into what’s working Not to worry, because all of this is fixable with structure, data, and cross-team alignment: Step 1: Map the full buyer journey Step 2: Segment like a pro Step 3: Align sales + marketing Step 4: Track real funnel metrics Step 5: Test relentlessly We broke it all down in our latest post - https://lnkd.in/geX8rr49

Small funnel improvements aren’t small. They’re exponential. Many SaaS leaders chase big swings: new channels, bigger budgets, shiny tools. But the biggest wins often come from the smallest tweaks. 👉 Example: - 10,000 leads in a year. - Current funnel conversion = 2%. - That’s 200 customers. Now increase conversion by just 1%. - 3% conversion = 300 customers. - That’s 100 additional deals without buying a single extra click. At a $20k ACV, that “tiny” 1% = $2M in extra revenue. That’s the compounding math of funnel optimization. Where to find that 1%? ✅ Fix deliverability leaks (get those missing 14% of emails into inboxes). ✅ Extend nurture to match reality (10–16 touches inbound, up to 21 outbound). ✅ Test offers and cadences, not just subject lines. The ROI of optimization isn’t incremental. It’s exponential. That’s why our 14-day funnel-building mini-course ends with measurement + optimization. Because funnels don’t need radical reinvention. They need compounding improvements that snowball into millions. 👉 If you’re chasing growth but ignoring the math, you’re leaving serious money on the table. Link in comments.

Generic prompts make generic ads. If your prompt could also write a blog outline, a cold email, and a birthday caption, it is not an ad prompt. Advertising needs its own stack: 1. Platform context (what the feed rewards) 2. Product focus (what must stay true) 3. Hook (why anyone stops) That is why we built a marketplace for ad creation prompts, not another pile of "marketing prompts" with ads bolted on. Creators and media buyers: what is the one ingredient your best ad prompts always include? Drop it below. Platform, product, hook, offer, proof, or something else?

Here's what one quality content package actually costs: $300 for a professional blog post $150 for SEO optimization $200 for an email campaign $100 for social posts $250 for a video script Total: $1,000+ per package And here's the problem: most businesses need 2-4 packages per month just to maintain consistent visibility online. That's $2,000-4,000/month. Every month. Forever. At In Your Hand Media, we've spent years helping brands tell their stories. And we've watched countless small businesses hit the same wall: → They can't afford $3K-5K/month for consistent content → They can't hire a full in-house team → DIY takes too long and quality suffers → They go quiet online and lose momentum So we built a different solution. Last week, Lunace Labs (co-founded by our founder Eric Emerson alongside Austin Alex and Carter Murphy) launched WordWolf.Ai. A content generation platform that delivers that same $1,000 content package in minutes, not days. Here's what one WordWolf package includes: - Professional blog article - Video script - 2 social media posts - Email newsletter - SEO optimization All branded to your voice. All connected to one cohesive message. All ready to publish or refine with one click. The math that matters: What costs $1,000+ and takes days now takes minutes and a fraction of the cost. We're already using WordWolf.Ai to power content on our platform. The blog explaining how content generation platforms work? Created, refined, and published within one hour or less. This isn't about replacing quality or creativity. It's about making professional-grade content accessible to businesses that can't afford the traditional price tag. 📖 Read the breakdown: https://lnkd.in/eSzH7iMP 🎁 Try WordWolf.Ai free (2 content packages): https://wordwolf.ai #ContentMarketing #MarketingInnovation #SmallBusiness

White-label link building isn’t just “outsourced SEO.” It’s how agencies scale without burning out. 🚀 The real ROI shows up beyond the backlink: ✅ Clients stick around longer ✅ Margins actually grow ✅ Your team gets time back to hunt new business ✅ You can confidently say “yes” to bigger accounts If your growth plan still depends on doing everything in-house, you’re capping your upside. Your HubSpot content is working hard for you—but is it working smart? Most companies have content gaps they don't even know about. Old blog posts collecting dust. Topics competitors are ranking for that you haven't touched. Opportunities sitting right in front of you. This is where AI-driven content audits come in. AI tools can scan your entire HubSpot site and: → Identify underperforming or outdated content → Spot topic gaps based on competitor analysis → Suggest new content ideas aligned with search trends → Recommend repurposing opportunities The result? You're not just creating more content—you're creating smarter content that actually ranks. If you haven't audited your content in the last 6 months, now's the time. Your rankings will thank you. Want to lift your website conversions fast? Start with your pricing page (B2B SaaS). And inside your pricing page? 1️⃣ Start with your hero headline. Most teams open with... "Pricing" "Pricing for teams of all sizes." Looks clear. And functional. Feels safe. But it wastes the most important real estate on the page—saying nothing useful in this high-stakes conversation. Your pricing hero headline should remind your best prospects why your product is worth paying for right before they see your prices. Add your value prop to your hero headline. Make sure it mentions a product quality your best prospects actually desire. And something that’s unique to you. If you can make it memorable? You’ve hit the value-prop trifecta. 2️⃣ Fix your subhead. Don’t skip it. And don’t wing it. This moment in your pricing conversation has a specific job. Use your subhead to show your prospects you’ve thought through their switching to your product. Make it clear that switching is as low-risk, low-cost and low-effort as possible. Show your prospects you understand their anxiety about moving from their current (sub-par) solution to your (unknown-to-them) product. And show them you’ve done everything to make that switch safe. Helping them feel safe about switching to your product is a high-impact fix. And most of your competitors aren’t even doing it. 3️⃣ Order your tiers to deliver your pricing-page goal. Tier order matters. Starting with the highest or lowest tier changes how prospects evaluate everything that comes after. Help them compare apples to apples. Not apples to books. Incomparable items overwhelm their lizard brain as they’re trying to decide whether to trust you. Anchor your pricing to your pricing-page goal (increase free trials vs increase average order value). Not to whatever your competitors are doing. (What if the “industry standard” you’re copying is actively killing conversions… because it was never designed intentionally to deliver a business goal? And everyone just keeps copying it?) ___________ ♾️ And here’s the super-meta extra tip: Shrink the price visually. Make the value louder than the number—visually. Your tier names and hero elements should dominate the visual hierarchy. Everything that communicates value should look bigger than the dollar sign. Right now, many pricing pages are visually de-optimized because the price is the biggest thing on the screen. Which only reminds your prospects... "Woah. That’s a lot." A completely preventable reaction. If you manage value perception intentionally. ___________ These aren’t cosmetic tweaks. They’re strategic fixes that work on three levels. ✅ Functional. ✅ Emotional. ✅ Subconscious. This is how you pull your best prospects toward a confident “yes.” --- If you want your pricing page to stop leaking revenue, a deep-dive messaging audit will show you exactly what to fix. DM me.
