James Flavin reposted thisJames Flavin reposted thisHumbled and honored to share that I've been selected as one of the #50CISOstoWatch in 2024 by Lacework. I would never have become a CISO or received this unexpected recognition if it wasn't for the talented teams I've been lucky to be a part of, the great mentors I've had along the way, and the visionary, security-minded leadership at the companies I've worked with. Looking forward to what's in store this year and helping security professionals navigate the AI landscape through the Shadow AI Newsletter. https://lnkd.in/efhdC8zj https://lnkd.in/errkdqCp

I am so grateful to our Chairs Jessica Bertuccio & Michael Bertuccio and Bahareh Flavin & James Flavin. With an incredible vision, they transformed Corinthian Houston into a storybook, complete with a carriage, a candlelit garden, and even wickedly good apples that were not what they appeared to be. Thank you to our Underwriting Chairs Lauren Barrett & Max Barrett and Lilly Cullen & Harrison Cullen, and to our Auction Chairs Alex Butt & Claire Schmitt Virga, who were so integral to the success of this event. Almost every fairytale has a Prince Charming, but our Gala had two of them. Two adorable puppy princes found their forever homes, going to lucky bidders Jonathan Sloan and our event Chairs, the Bertuccio's. Thank you to everyone who was a part of the Gala. You are the true fairy godmothers for Houston’s children, providing crucial support to create magical learning experiences across our city through the Museum’s outreach.

James Flavin liked thisJames Flavin liked thisGas is flowing in the Beetaloo Basin, Australia. First commercial gas sales in the Northern Territory will provide domestic supply, with the potential to supply global LNG markets at premium pricing. For fifteen years, nobody could commercialize this basin. We did it in four. Four years ago we had a conversation about well logs. Tom Layman, one of the most conservative geologists I know, told me he'd seen something in Australia worth a look. When a cautious geologist gets excited, you pay attention. So we went and looked. Congratulations to Todd Abbott and the Tamboran Resources Corporation team, and to everyone at Daly Waters Energy. Thank you to the Northern Territory Government for backing a project that will supply Territorians for years. And to our partners at H&P and Liberty. You don't open a basin like this without the right people, the right partners and the right equipment. There are basins around the world sitting undeveloped, in countries that need the energy and want them opened. For anyone watching from outside Australia, here's what’s worth noting: this is what happens when a government wants development and partners with a proven operator who can apply 20 years of U.S. shale experience anywhere. We're just getting started. https://lnkd.in/g_D3PXqK
