Established in 1998, the Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS) is a charity that raises funds and provides food, medical care, emergency funds, and after school programs for children in need across 5 initiatives:
• Nutrition: With one in three children in Toronto living below the poverty line and nearly 68% of children from the most at-risk communities going to school hungry, the TFSS serves over 147,000 healthy meals every school day in over 600 nutrition programs
• Gift of…Established in 1998, the Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS) is a charity that raises funds and provides food, medical care, emergency funds, and after school programs for children in need across 5 initiatives:
• Nutrition: With one in three children in Toronto living below the poverty line and nearly 68% of children from the most at-risk communities going to school hungry, the TFSS serves over 147,000 healthy meals every school day in over 600 nutrition programs
• Gift of Sight and Sound: The TFSS provides vision and hearing checks to over 25,000 children in over 100 school-based clinics
• Beyond 3:30: The TFSS provides free after-school homework support, heathy meals, sports, and other opportunities for over 1,000 students facing poverty issues in 12 schools
• Emergency Fund: The TFSS offers up to $500 in emergency funds to students in need of warm clothes, food, or other essential items
• Model Schools Paediatric Health Initiative: With 25% of inner-city children lacking health cards and many more lacking access to health facilities, the TFSS provides school medical clinics to over 11,000 students
