HRBPs: What I'd love for you to do this month is to review the goals set by the execs/leaders you support. Assess what improvement is possible in how well the goals are aligned to the business, the amount of stretch in them and the focus of the goals overall. Provide those leaders with helpful coaching (yes, this is 80% artistry/chemistry and 20% skill) on how to elevate their goals. THIS is a key place we can add value!

“Managing expectations” is not about trying to manipulate others’ feelings; it’s a mutual understanding of what is, and is not, funded by your budget. When the mission matters, it’s easy to sacrifice yourself in the process. ever since I embarked on my journey of impact, I made a conscious choice to achieve major outcomes without eroding the energy, clarity, and humanity I needed to keep leading well... Here’s what made the difference: 1. CLARITY IN COMPLEXITY With clarity on my vision and values, there's no space for self-doubt. there's onlt alignment with ever action i take. When you’re clear on vision, values and mission decisions come faster, creativity flows and resistance drops. 2. COURAGE & CONFIDENCE UNDER PRESSURE With clarity comes the courage to challenge the status quo and the confidence to make calls that may not please everyone, but protect you, the mission and the people you serve. 3. STRATEGIC COLLABORATION I didn’t have all the answers, so I leaned on trusted partners and specialists. Nobody leads effectively in isolation. Whether publishing my book Rise Up Gold-Dust Queen or navigating hig stake decisions, the right support is non- negotiable. 4. PRESENCE OVER PERFORMANCE Showing up with the aim of just being visible, transformed to Showing up with presence, intention and purpose.... This not only builds trust but also attracts the right people and opportunities and still stay true to being my quirky self. These four practices didn’t just help me reach milestones, they helped me sustain myself while doing it. When considering taking a job with a company, here are some things to evaluate: What has happened to past people in this role? Did they advance? Based on current trends, will this role/department be more or less important, over time? Does this role solve critical problems important to the company's future, or was it more important once-upon-a -time? Will contributions here be noticed because it's in a growth area for the company? Will I have interactions and/or access to the company's top people in this role? Are they talking to me about development opportunities? Is it a high paying job because there's nowhere to advance, a dead-end? Does this job have high visibility within and outside the organization?

Training and ongoing development are essential to building a strong, high-performing team. When employees are equipped with the right tools, knowledge, and support, they’re more confident, efficient, and engaged—leading to better outcomes across the board. Unfortunately, I’ve seen that many organizations overlook the importance of consistent training for both new hires and existing employees. The result? A significant drain on productivity that could easily be avoided.
