Allan McNabb shared thisI've been monitoring Google's September 2026 Spam Update closely — and the weekend impact data is clear. 📊 As someone who works in digital marketing every day, algorithm updates like this are a reminder of something fundamental: Quality content and ethical SEO practices are your best insurance policy. Here's what the data showed over the weekend: • Sites with thin, AI-spun content took the hardest hits • Businesses with solid backlink profiles and genuine content held steady • Those who invested in long-term SEO strategy saw minimal disruption The businesses most affected? Those who cut corners on content quality or chased quick-win tactics that Google has been warning against for years. My advice: Use every algorithm update as an opportunity to strengthen your foundation. Focus on E-E-A-T — Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness — and build content that genuinely serves your audience. Has this update affected your business? I'd love to hear your experience. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ePqUR2PP #ImageBuildingMedia #SEO #GoogleUpdate #DigitalMarketing #ContentStrategy

Allan McNabb shared thisI've been watching Google's September 2026 Spam Update closely this week, and the results are telling. 🔍 Sites that took shortcuts — manipulative links, thin AI content, keyword stuffing — took real hits over the weekend. The ones that invested in genuine, high-quality content? They're actually rising. 📈 This is the message Google keeps sending, and it's one I believe in deeply: there is no sustainable shortcut in digital marketing. For business owners, this is a reminder: your online presence is an asset. Build it with integrity. 🔗 If you're concerned about your website's ranking, let's talk about your digital marketing strategy: 👉 https://lnkd.in/ePqUR2PP #SEO #DigitalMarketing #GoogleUpdate #ImageBuildingMedia #ContentMarketing

Allan McNabb shared thisThis week's social media news delivered two stories that deserve strategic attention from every marketer... 🎥 Snapchat's AI chat-to-song feature: Snap users can now transform their conversations into AI-generated songs. It sounds like a novelty — but it signals something deeper about where social media is heading. Immersive, AI-generated content experiences are becoming table stakes for platform engagement. Users increasingly expect AI to enhance every interaction. 🛡️ TikTok's expanded child protection initiatives: TikTok is doubling down on safety measures for younger users. From a marketing perspective, platforms willing to self-regulate are building long-term credibility — and those that don't risk regulatory intervention that can disrupt entire marketing channels. My takeaway: AI-native experiences and responsible platform governance are both going to be competitive differentiators. Brands that partner with platforms sharing their values will build more sustainable, long-term marketing strategies. Allan McNabb shared thisHere's a data problem that most marketers haven't fully grappled with yet, but they should. 📊 Your ChatGPT-driven website traffic is almost certainly hiding in your 'Direct/Other' analytics bucket. Here's what's happening: When someone discovers your website through a ChatGPT conversation and clicks through to visit you, current analytics platforms often can't properly attribute that traffic. It gets classified as 'direct' — the same bucket as people who type your URL directly. The practical implications for marketers and business owners: 1️⃣ You're likely UNDERESTIMATING how much AI is already driving your traffic and revenue. The AI impact on your business may be larger than your data suggests. 2️⃣ Content that's getting you cited in ChatGPT conversations is working — but you can't easily identify which content, making optimization guesswork. 3️⃣ Budget allocation decisions made on incomplete attribution data lead to underinvestment in strategies that are actually working. Solving this requires implementing UTM parameter strategies, referral tracking customizations, and monitoring for AI-specific patterns in your data. Is your team looking at this? I'd be curious how others are approaching AI traffic attribution. Allan McNabb shared thisMeta just made a move that signals where social media advertising is heading for businesses. 📊 Meta has launched Meta One for Business — a suite of premium add-on packages that give businesses enhanced tools, analytics, and capabilities across the entire Meta ecosystem: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads. Here's my honest take on what this means: First, the opportunity is real. Meta's platforms collectively represent one of the most powerful advertising ecosystems on Earth. Unified tools that help businesses operate more coherently across all four platforms could genuinely improve results for businesses that know what they're doing. But — and this matters — premium tools amplify your strategy, they don't replace it. I've seen businesses invest heavily in platform tools while their underlying creative, targeting, and funnel strategy remains weak. The tools just make the losses more efficient. The businesses that will get the most value from Meta One are the ones who already have: ✅ Clear audience targeting strategies ✅ Strong creative content pipelines ✅ Solid conversion tracking and attribution ✅ A defined customer journey across touchpoints Do you have those fundamentals in place? If not, that's where to start before investing in premium Meta features. Allan McNabb shared thisPinterest just announced three features that will significantly shift where visual-category businesses invest their marketing dollars: 🔍 Visual Search Ads — advertising directly in image-based search results is game-changing for product discovery 🎨 AI Restyle — AI can reimagine product imagery in different contexts and styles (huge for e-commerce, home goods, fashion) 📊 Predictive Optimization for Performance+ — AI-driven predictions before you commit budget My honest take: Pinterest has been consistently underutilized as an advertising platform compared to Facebook, Instagram, and Google. But the purchase intent of Pinterest users is among the highest of any social platform — and this new AI toolkit is genuinely impressive. For businesses in fashion, home décor, food, beauty, travel, and similar visual categories: Pinterest deserves a real budget allocation, not an afterthought. Are you investing in Pinterest advertising? I'm curious what results you're seeing. 👉 https://lnkd.in/ePqUR2PP #ImageBuildingMedia #Pinterest #DigitalMarketing #VisualMarketing #ECommerceMarketing #MarketingStrategy
