Remove a professional source from your Apps and Top Apps section

Last updated: 3 weeks ago

Once you’ve chosen to update your profile’s Apps and Top apps section with a professional source, you can remove it at any time.

Important to know

Removing it from your profile doesn’t delete the source from your professional sources dashboard.

To remove a source from the Apps section:

  1. Go to your profile.

  2. Scroll down to the Apps section.

  3. Tap the Edit icon.

  4. Find the connected source you want to remove and tap the Cancel icon

  5. Tap Remove.

Notes:

  • Any profile content you added to other profile sections using that source (such as Projects, Patents, or Publications) will not be removed automatically and must be removed manually from the relevant profile sections.

  • Even if you remove content from your profile, the professional source will remain available in your dashboard to continue improving recommendations to you and others.

  • If you remove a professional source from your professional sources dashboard, it will also be removed from Apps & Top Apps (if you chose to showcase it there), but any source information already on your profile in other relevant sections must be manually removed.

  • You can also turn off LinkedIn’s use of professional sources through your Settings.
