Scope

  • Standardization of the specification, test methods and inspection of metallic coatings applied by fusion (including hot dip and thermal diffusion processes) of non-ferrous metals and/or alloys to an iron or steel article.

  • Standardization of the characteristics, including corrosion performance, of metallic coatings applied by fusion of a non-ferrous metal and/or alloys to an iron or steel article.

  • Standardization of the design and preparation of iron or steel articles for the application of metallic coatings of non-ferrous metals and/or alloys applied by fusion (including hot dip and thermal diffusion processes).
