As someone in the middle of a big backyard renovation (a.k.a. a total mud pit), I've spent a lot of time recently scrolling through endless Pinterest images of verdant garden spaces that feel like you've been transported to a resort.
But no amount of inspo images has quite stopped me in my doom-scrolling tracks like Jake Arnold's new Crate & Barrel outdoor collection. Essentially a one-stop shop to shop for the best outdoor furniture and al fresco accessories to help me curate the garden of my dreams.
If you've ever embarked on a patio refresh, you'll know just how expensive it can be. As Jake – who has designed for the likes of Katy Perry, John Legend, and Zendaya – knows, to get truly unique, inspiring pieces, you typically have to go bespoke. But thankfully, he's treated us mere mortals to a window into that world with Crate & Barrel.
Of course, this isn't Jake's first foray into designing with the brand, but it is his debut outdoors and (alongside an equally chic range for Crate & Barrel Kids), so he knows how to really pour his own style into a collection.
Offering something chic for entertainers and sunbathers, the teak lattice-style Hartford Sofa and matching Lounge Chair create a durable yet polished seating area for hosting, while the Harpen Metal Bistro Set and Chaise Lounge bring the romance of a European-style garden. The real stand-out, however, is the genius Cobden Outdoor Umbrella that has a cabana-style wicker side table built into the base.

So much more elevated than a standard bistro set. If you look closely, you'll see they're actually finished in a sage green, and if you look even closer, the seat cushions are in an all-weather ticking stripe, while the table has a limestone, ogee-edge top.
Tapestry prints are all the rage at the moment, but I've yet to see one designed for your patio like this 'Harrow' lumbar pillow. Inspired by 18th-century French tapestry, it instantly adds a traditional edge.
We all know and love wicker furniture for the garden, but this one is a cut above the rest. Made from all-weather wicker with a curved, urn-shaped pedestal, this has been handwoven to make a really beautiful side table.
Ah, beautiful bamboo. To channel the essence of a hotel patio, Jake designed the Abbott melamine tableware to bring vintage flair to your al fresco dinners under the sun or stars.
Designed for lounging thanks to the high back and extra-deep cushions, this FSC®-certified teak garden chair was inspired by vintage European pieces found by Jake. I love the contrasting piping that adds a tailored feel to the cushions.
It takes a lot to reinvent the traditional lantern, but he's managed it. Made from rust-proof cast aluminium with a burnished bronze finish that gives the twisted rope detailing an antique feel, simply add a pillar candle and get your garden glow on.
This bundle combines the luxurious Cobden umbrella with the Felix side table base for a breezy look inspired by Italian beach cabanas. Made of solid teak with a nine-foot canopy of fade-resistant Sunbrella umbrella, this is style and function in one really clever buy.
Who says that break-resistant outdoor tableware should be boring? The Mimms cocktail glass was designed with a coupe-shaped bowl for Old Hollywood glamour and a thin stem inspired by the vintage iron table legs.
