A Meaningful Celebration of Heritage and Community at Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree

As the holy month approaches and Kuala Lumpur eases into a season defined by reflection, gratitude and togetherness, Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur, managed by Banyan Tree, offers a fitting culinary centrepiece for the occasion. This year, The Courtyard presents Halaman Santapan Warisan, a thoughtfully curated Ramadan buffet that celebrates the beauty of communal dining, heritage flavours and the simple pleasure of sharing a good meal.

Set in the heart of Bukit Bintang, Halaman Santapan Warisan is designed as more than just a buffet. It is a welcoming space where families, friends and colleagues can reconnect over dishes that feel comfortingly familiar yet quietly refined. Whether you are planning an intimate break-of-fast with loved ones or hosting a corporate gathering to strengthen professional ties, the experience has been carefully shaped to suit both personal and business occasions.

At the helm of this culinary journey is Chef de Cuisine Baranitharan Arjunan, who leads a dedicated team of chefs with a clear vision: to honour time-honoured recipes while elevating them through quality ingredients and contemporary technique. The result is a buffet that feels rooted in tradition but never dated, where each dish contributes to a sense of warmth, generosity and shared enjoyment.

The spread strikes a deliberate balance between classic Malay favourites and premium seafood selections, ensuring broad appeal without sacrificing depth or character. It is a tribute to the way Malaysians gather around the table during Ramadan, where food becomes both nourishment and a conduit for connection.

The dining experience unfolds with an impressive display of seafood on ice, immediately setting a tone of indulgence. Highlights include The Courtyard’s much-talked-about salt-crusted King Crab, accompanied by other signature crustacean offerings that invite lingering conversations and shared plates.

For those drawn to bold, festive flavours, the grill station delivers with confidence. The whole Kambing Golek, roasted to tender perfection, stands proudly alongside crowd favourites such as Satay and Ayam Percik, their aromas evoking the unmistakable spirit of Ramadan evenings. These are dishes that encourage second helpings and easy camaraderie, especially when enjoyed in good company.

Live stations further energise the experience. Guests can savour freshly prepared bowls of Laksa Utara & Selatan, each reflecting regional nuances, as well as Aneka Sup Tulang Merah that offer depth, warmth and comfort. Adding a contemporary twist to the line-up is the chefs’ distinctive Seafood Wellington, a creative centrepiece that underscores the kitchen’s willingness to innovate while respecting tradition.

Dessert at Halaman Santapan Warisan is approached with the same sense of balance and restraint. The pastry team presents a spread that bridges nostalgia and modern indulgence, ensuring a gentle yet satisfying finale to the evening.

Traditional Malay kuih make a graceful appearance, offering familiar flavours and textures that quietly honour local heritage. These are complemented by modern favourites such as cookies and baklava, alongside premium ice creams and comforting hot desserts. Whether you prefer something light and refreshing or warm and soothing, the selection ensures that every guest leaves with a flavour that resonates.

Beyond the food, what truly distinguishes Halaman Santapan Warisan is its atmosphere. The Courtyard’s inviting setting encourages conversation, reflection and reconnection, making it particularly well-suited for group dining. Corporate guests will appreciate the dedicated experience designed to facilitate meaningful interactions, while families can enjoy an unhurried evening centred on togetherness.
