The interplay of light and shadow

Shadows are moments of light captured and dissolved again. They shift in tone and density, where one shade quietly gives way to the next. Seen through textured surfaces, forms are refracted into soft, irregular patterns of light and dark.

In Shadowplay, this interplay is translated into a sculptural flooring expression. A refined multi-level loop construction creates depth and texture inspired by distorted light and shadow. Two coordinating patterns – Umbra and Obscura – can be used individually or combined to compose layered surfaces with a subtle sense of movement across the floor. Tone-on-tone neutrals form the foundation of the palette, complemented by gentle halos of colour that trace abstract shapes before softly fading away.
