We work with other organisations to make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care.

We have agreements that set out:

We also meet with other regulators as part of the Chief Executives Health and Social Care Regulatory Forum.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

MoUs are a statement of intent between two organisations to work together and give an outline what this work aims to achieve.

Joint Working Protocol (JWP)

JWPs set out detailed working arrangements to support an MoU, including what they can expect from each other, how work will be managed and commitments to consultations and involving others in the work. We do not have a joint working protocol with every organisation we work with – an MoU is often sufficient.

We also have a framework agreement with the Department of Health.
