I had not checked my blood in a week. I did nothing today but sit around like it was my day off. I did have a nutritious breakfast and two glasses of cold coffee. At 11 AM I was a little hungry so I made a peanut butter sandwich on sourdough bread. I checked my blood sugar at 1 PM and it indicated 105. Either I am doing something right or my meter is not working? I know that when we eat out body releases GLP (not the same stuff sold in stores) which signal the release of insulin which T2D people have a problem with working correct? I think my diet is working even though I eat like a horse but it is the correct low carbohydrate diet which does not product lots of glucose. I hope others can find the right diet which works for their body like my diet works for me.

This is a post aimed primarily at women, especially as they get older. Just in case you didn't know, older women can have a UTI without any of the normal symptoms. When my mother was in her 80s, they took her to emergency because she was having severe confusion and it turned out to be a UTI. The first week of February, my numbers were starting to go high for some reason. By the second week, I had one small urgency symptom and the doctor got me right in. Even though the prescription took care of the UTI, I am still battling high blood sugar, and having to increase my insulin. Take care of yourselves and listen to your body.
