About

Robert Stilin is an internationally recognized design firm based in New York. The eponymously named firm emerged from the designer’s early dealings with collectors in Palm Beach and the Hamptons. It has since garnered a celebrated reputation for crafting spaces that reflect and enrich the needs and lifestyles of its clients. From a penthouse on Fifth Avenue to a family compound in Louisville, Stilin’s diverse portfolio showcases his ability to continually create refined, timeless spaces that are engaging and always functional. Through thoughtful conversation and meticulous attention to detail, the firm treats every project as an evolving collaboration with its clients. Continuing to expand, the firm now encompasses Robert Stilin Shop which focuses on vintage French and Italian furniture, lighting, and décor.

With decades of experience in the industry, founder and principal designer Robert Stilin is adept at imbuing modern luxury with a comfortable warmth and gravity. Using his expertise as a collector and dealer, Stilin skillfully blends art, vintage furnishings, and high-end design to create livable homes, a signature that has often drawn him to work with prominent collectors.

Stilin has been consistently recognized in Architectural Digest’s AD100 and Elle Décor’s Top 25 A-List Designer list. He also serves on the Artists Council at the Whitney Museum of American Art and on the Leadership Council of Dia Art Foundation. In October 2019, Stilin released his first monograph, Robert Stilin Interiors, published by Vendome Press. His second monograph with Vendome Press is set for release in the fall of 2025.
