A Sajian Rantau & Serambi Arabia Feast: Midtown Brasserie Unites Malaysian & Middle Eastern Flavours
Midtown Brasserie sets the stage for a landmark gastronomic event with its inaugural Sajian Rantau & Serambi Arabia Buffet, a grand feast that unites the soul of Malaysia with the heart of the Middle East. From 19 February to 19 March 2026, prepare for a spectacular culinary collision where authentic Malaysian favourites meet celebrated Arabian delights, creating an unrivalled dining spectacle for grand corporate affairs and festive family gatherings.
Midtown Brasserie is proud to orchestrate this special culinary event under the guidance of its Head Chef, Jordan Mah. For this exclusive promotion, Chef Jordan welcomes the masterful Chef Ayub, a maestro of grand Malay banquet cuisine from Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown.

In a powerhouse collaboration, Chef Jordan and Chef Ayub are joined by Midtown Brasserie’s own Malay culinary expert, Chef Faiz. Together, they will unite their distinct expertise to craft a limited-time feast that embodies the true spirit of celebration and shared joy.
“This is a significant expansion of our regular buffet. It’s a distinct experience, placing a stronger emphasis on authentic Malay cuisine with a more extensive spread, greater variety, and exclusive dishes. Consider it our special treat for all our guests,” says Chef Jordan Mah.
A Culinary Philosophy Forged from Heritage
“This is dining as an event—a true celebration of flavour and fellowship,” declares Chef Ayub. “We craft each menu with the belief that a great meal is a cornerstone of connection. Drawing from decades in five-star kitchens and the timeless wisdom of home cooking, we build every dish on a foundation of heritage recipes and extraordinary ingredients.”
He invites guests to experience signature showpieces: the magnificent Arabic Spiced Lamb Ouzi, marinated for two full days and slow-roasted to perfection; a decadent Braised Seafood Selection; and their exclusive Rendang Daging, crafted only with tender beef cheek. “These aren’t just menu items; they are edible heirlooms, served with purpose. Every bite tells a story of passion.”
The Grand Feast: A Spectacle of Over 100 Creations

Guests will embark on an epicurean adventure across over 7 live and curated stations, featuring nearly 100 distinct dishes. The journey begins with a lavish opening act of appetisers, vibrant salads, and an authentic Arabic Mezza spread, accompanied by a selection of premium imported nuts and dried fruits. The feast is complemented by specialty drinks including Janda Pulang, Bandung Gedik, Mangga Susu Abang Nas, and Spice Masala Cola to perfectly start the evening.
The experience accelerates with interactive culinary theatres:
- The Malaysian Kitchen & Live Wok: Where iconic local flavours are born in flames.
- Global Fire: Grill & BBQ Stations: Succulent meats and seafood, charred to order.
- The Carving & Shawarma Stage: An aromatic spectacle of freshly sliced delights.
- Noodle Theatre & Sizzling Plate: Customised, steaming creations made before your eyes.
- The Golden Fry: A crispy haven of perfectly fried delicacies.
- World Hot Plates: A grand tour from Malaysian home-style classics and vibrant Asian signatures to beloved Western comforts like lasagna and casserole.
A Chef’s Personal Culinary Odyssey
“My flavour compass points back to my mother’s kitchen in Johor,” shares Chef Faiz, whose career has spanned the Middle East to his current helm at Midtown Brasserie. “For this grand buffet, I’m bringing pieces of that journey to the table—my mother’s treasured recipe for Asam Pedas Ikan Pari, the comforting embrace of Bubur Lembuk, and our legendary Soup Daging.”
“That soup is our star—a rich, complex ‘cocktail broth’ simmered for hours with premium meats and hand-pounded spices. It’s the taste of devotion. You have to taste it to believe it.”
The Grand Finale: A Dessert Extravaganza

The finale is a destination in itself, featuring a Turkish Delights boutique, an opulent cake gallery, and an array of warm and chilled desserts. Crowning the experience is the live gelato and sorbet bar. The true showstopper is the live Lempeng Pisang station, where banana pancakes are freshly griddled and served with grated coconut, banana, and luxuriant gula melaka syrup—a nostalgic masterpiece rarely seen on such a scale.
