Work & Co Acquires Mobile Development Firm Tendigi

Work & Co is acquiring decade-old mobile development firm Tendigi.

Based in Brooklyn near Work & Co’s Dumbo offices, Tendigi opened in 2010. The firm delivers technical solutions across platforms including iOS, MacOS, Android, and the web.

“We have always been committed to not only delivering breakthrough ideas, but consistently bringing those digital experiences to life,” said Marcelo Eduardo, Technology Partner at Work & Co. “Tendigi has deep native engineering expertise and shares our belief in the value of shipping, having put 86 mobile products into the world for many well-known companies. And having been friendly with our neighbors here in Dumbo for some time, it’s a great feeling to have them join our team.”

Since 2010, Tendigi has worked with many of the world’s leading brands, including Apple, The World Wildlife Fund, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Steinway & Sons, Plated, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. The WWF work in particular was a big success, raising more than $8 million for the nonprofit.

As part of the deal, Tendigi’s brand and talent will be folded into Work & Co.

Effective immediately, its CEO-founder and CTO — Jeff Soto and Nick Lee — will be joining the company as directors. Jeff was formerly an engineer at Apple, leading cross functional software and hardware testing on multiple top-secret projects. Nick has led planning, architecture, development and delivery for Tendigi’s clients and his work has been featured in Apple keynotes and in-store displays.
