Hi! I'm a student at another university living in DC this fall. I am looking for 24 hour places around D.C. to study in (I work all day and then need a quiet place to focus at night), and I found out about Gelman Library! Does anyone know if its possible to be allowed access to that library 24 hours, and if there is a way to get some sort of visitor's pass/how lenient the university is with that?
I was hired earlier this month and so far my communication with the individuals who run the program has been pretty frustrating. I am incredibly busy and it's hard to make time for this job if it only brings me stress. Does anyone have an experience they could share?
Has anyone taken (or is currently taking) operations management & has a good understanding of Chapter 1-5 concepts? If so, I need help catching up. My professor & TA are no help and there aren’t any tutoring options available at gelman. PLS midterms are soon 😩
I noticed GW has therapy appointments you can book. Wondering if they are any good, or if I should venture out to better ones in the DC area. (Also if you have any recs would love to hear)
Any halal places to eat near GWU? Also, can I use my bank card in the food places in the halls. Like in District House?
I was forced onto this awful meal plan so now I have a lot of dining dollars to spend. But it’s still real money so I want to spend it frugally.
Where’s the best places to get cheap food from dining dollars? I used to go to 711 but that’s not an option anymore. And the Wawa doesn’t accept dining dollars, apparently it’s broken.
I've had a single for the past two years, but now I don't. I 100% prefer living alone and function better that way. In really a tricky situation where room swap isn't easy for me and am looking to move into a single somewhere that takes upperclassmen
can we use dining dollars at whole foods or no? i’ve seen different things in different places
Hi, does anyone have a copy of the syllabus for Mary Barron’s class EXNS 1119W? I emailed to the prof and checked the Blackboard but I could not find it and the prof has not replied back so I would appreciate it if someone could share.
Brand new never used selling for $50
Hi Everyone,
I am trapped in a course where I have to pay $170 to access this horrible McGrawHill platform.
Does someone knows how can I avoid it / have a reduction on it?
Thanks!
Hello everyone! ^_^
I'm Alexa! My current housemate and I are searching for a (female) replacement for me because I'm going to get a pet and need more space.
We live in The Wray on the top floor (ooo, fancy) in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It's nice and quiet, all updated with stainless steel appliances and in-unit washing and drying. The staff are AMAZING. I’ll probably stay in the same building. We have had NO issues with the building or the staff; they're all super nice and the building itself is updated from its past as a government office building.
The total rent and utilities half is approx. 2300 a month.
I can likely move as soon as 2-4 weeks or as late as between the Fall and Spring semesters over break, whichever would work best for you.
For those interested, my email is , and I reply super fast! Thanks so much for reading and feel free to contact me anytime!
Hi everyone! I’m looking for someone to take over my room (master bedroom) in a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment at the Chancery Apartments () in Cathedral Heights. The apartment boasts living room views of the National Cathedral and a laundry room in the basement.
Starting October 1st, your half of the rent will be $1,137.50 (rent-stabilized unit). Utilities are included in the price, and you would be on a month-to-month lease for the foreseeable future.
Your Roommate: You’d be living with the fabulous Amelia Freeman. She’s a great friend who values cleanliness, direct communication, and general respect for the common areas. Please reach out to her ASAP at (312)-288-6928 so she can meet you and begin the lease takeover process. We are happy to schedule a time for you to tour the apartment virtually or in person!
Contact: Feel free to contact Amelia at (312)-288-6928 or me at (347)-839-5855.
I’m putting in apps to transfer and was looking at GW. I’m gonna be a Poli Sci major so I’m super interested in GW.
Tuition however seems to be a lot. Is it usually close to the full 64 for everyone or do they give generous aid? If it costed 25 total per year or close I think I’d be interested but I don’t think I can justify 64 a year. Just wondering how much most of you pay.
How long does George Washington University take to make a decision on spring applications? Their website states 4-6 weeks, but I submitted my application 2 months ago.
How do I return a package once I’ve already picked it up? I looked on the website but I can’t find this info.
In thurston rn, just found a 4 inch pubic hair in my salad…

Hello all I might be starting graduate school up at GW in January. I’m currently a fifth year, senior and undergraduate at Gardner Webb University study homeland, security administration and political science I am interested in the masters of public administration program and a few other. I wanted some advice. I am currently doing my applications to all the grad schools. I’m applying to so potentially GWUNC Charlotte Appalachian State Elon, potentially Winthrop East Tennessee State and Northeastern. And I was doing the UNC Charlotte one and I was thinking a professor for giving me a recommendation letter and this is what I put does. This sound like I’m trying to influence him into giving me a better letter of recommendation that I deserve. I deserve a good one, but , I wanted to know if this sounded like I was trying to give me better Chief, thank you for writing me a recommendation letter for graduate school time as an instructor in your classes you always taught me not only how to be a great leader, but more importantly how to be a great man I will always be thankful for the class I took with you. Thank you again for writing this letter.
Any information or personal experience on the SLP MA at GW? Or any idea of acceptance rate?
Can anyone recommend on-campus coffee places that accept meal swipes, and not dining dollars (cuz I don’t want to spend them all just yet) Does peet’s at district accept meal swipes?
Any in Thurston itself? Heard about one at the USC but I kind of don't wanna head on over there around 9 lol
