From its breathtaking action to its near-flawless animation, it's a rarity to see a series that is so confident with itself in only its first season. From the opening moments, viewers are immediately sucked in and will immediately be left wanting more as soon as the credits roll on the finale.

This is smart, cinematic entertainment and it is an awful lot of fun.

An absolute masterpiece Easily the best offering from Netflix in years! "Blue Eyed Samurai" is a meticulously crafted, ultra-violent revenge story that can best be described as a fusion of Clint Eastwood's gritty westerns with elements from "Mulan" and "Kill Bill." It also incorporates elements reminiscent of genre classics like "Enter the Dragon," the "John Wick" movies, and the works of Kurosawa. There are even shades of "Lone Wolf & Cub" and "Game of Thrones" thrown into the mix for good measure. The direction and animation are absolutely fabulous. Every aspect of the show, from the voice acting to the storytelling, the well-developed characters, and the perfectly fitting soundtrack, is on point. Whether you're a fan of animation or not, I highly recommend giving "Blue Eyed Samurai" a watch. Don't miss out on this one!

What sustains the series in the long term is its knack for crafting compelling characters and engaging drama, even if the end results land as more fun than profound.

Blue Eye Samurai has clearly been designed to unfold gradually over time. That means there may be plenty of time for the series to hone its dramatic aspects to match the sharpness and beauty of its fight scenes.

Netflix haven't done anything this gorgeous and compelling since Castlevania. A feast for the eyes, ears, brain and a unique glimpse at feudal Japan's views on Europeans and women wrapped in a Kurosawa/Kitano/Tarantino bow. The rather lacklustre ending's the only thing stopping it from a perfect 10. Peaches!

Brilliant. Anyone who gives this a bad review is either a hater or an idiot.

If you survive the whole diversity/woke/feminist prelude forced down your throat you will end up with a very pretty animation with boring character and video game like scenario.

Plenty of dislikeable characters, including the main one. Couldn't give a rats ass about any of them. Was a pain to get through the first episode, second I just stopped watching.
