Patrons can use any machine for up to 2 hours. All machines are first come, first served. Patrons must complete a Maker 101 and sign a waiver to use equipment during open hours.

Our “We Can Be…” program series strives to show our young patrons the world of possibilities available to them and how the library can help support their dreams; all while teaching them about the inspiring people that have helped to pave the way for their success.
“We Can Be…Scientists” is held every other month, and will feature books and a brief storytime focusing on the work of a particular scientist or professional in a STEM field; with a heavy emphasis on BIPOC individuals, members of the LGBTQ community, and other underrepresented innovators.
Storytime will be followed by a structured experiment or STEM based activity inspired by the work of that month’s featured scientist. This program is ideal for elementary and middle school students. Registration is encouraged to guarantee your spot, but we will happily accept walk-ins if and when we have enough prepared materials available. Call (502) 574- 1779 to register.

This Kentucky Historical Society exhibit contains full color images of 15 quilts from its collection, including family quilts, crazy quilts, and log cabin quilts. Images show examples of various techniques quiltmakers used, including pieced, appliqué, and trap unto. The exhibit also profiles several quiltmakers.

English Conversation Club allows English language learners to practice English with volunteers of native or near-native fluency. For English language learners, ECC is a great way to practice English while getting to know their neighbors and American culture.
