From fourth quarter 2021 to fourth quarter 2022, San Francisco, CA, had the largest county percentage decrease in average weekly wages, with a loss of 22.6 percent. Midland, TX, had the largest county over-the-year percentage increase in employment in December 2022 at 7.9 percent.

All of the 10 largest U.S. counties had over-the-year percentage increases in employment in September 2022. New York County (Manhattan), New York, had the largest over-the-year percentage increase in employment (6.6 percent), followed by Dallas County, Texas, at 5.7 percent.
