Season 1 Review: Andor rises to meet the challenge of telling the story of the early days of the Rebellion through the eyes of a man who hasn’t fully come into his own yet. Read full review

Season 1 Review: It's all much more complicated than it needs to be, but at least Andor commits to building an expansive, self-contained world rather than plopping down on Tatooine yet again. Thankfully this hyper-local focus finally pays off in the third episode. ... Andor makes you want to enlist in the Rebellion. Read full review

Season 1 Review: In its first few episodes, Andor has established an exceptionally immersive world and put the pieces in place for a tense, thrilling story underpinned by big ideas. By returning to some of the series’s core principles rather than merely recycling old parts, Andor might be the most exciting new beginning the Star Wars universe has enjoyed since those giant yellow letters first crawled up the big screen to invite us into the galaxy far, far away. Season 1 Review: With sharper edges than this franchise is used to, a previously peripheral character has set up one of the most intriguing starts to a live-action Star Wars entry so far. Read full review

Season 1 Review: Lingering prequel issues will bother some more than others — knowing the fate of not only Cassian, our lead, but the Rebellion itself can lend a futility to sluggish scenes — but a quarter of the way into Season 1, “Andor” has established itself as the most deeply felt “Star Wars” series yet. And that’s worth holding onto. Read full review

Season 1 Review: Andor has me debating distinctions between “different” and “good” (it’s definitely the former, occasionally the latter); between “interesting” and “entertaining” (it’s usually the former, increasingly more of the latter as it goes along). ... Andor doesn’t instantly deliver the thrills I expect from a Star Wars show, but it’s different and that may turn out to be the best thing about it. Read full review

Season 1 Review: There is barely any shape to these first four episodes. Three of them don’t even build to any kind of real climax, but just seem to stop at a random point. ... The third [episode] is the one where things finally start happening, as well as the only one that actually has something that feels like a conclusion to one phase of the story. It’s a shame, not only because Luna’s Cassian Andor occupies an interesting place within the larger Star Wars universe, but because Andor gets off to a promising start before things quickly begin to drag. I admit, I put a 10 for all those 0s because it's "too slow". WTF. Can we not enjoy something which isn't an epilepsy inducing action extravaganza for the "give me my immediate reward"-people. Can't we for once absorb ourselves in a world with a more steady pace.

It's not a 10. It's solid though, especially for a Disney+ show. Hard to say if the whole season will deliver, but those 3 episodes were, in my opinion, a pretty good start to set a new show. I like that they take the time to build up characters, relationships and the world around them. Nice to have some slow paced TV for a change. So far I like the show more than Obi-Wan and BoBF.… Expand

This show is something new and fresh. The best Star Wars content since Rogue One. Amazing job and this is how it is done!

It's a very good show, loved the cyberpunk atmosphere. Disney finally made a more adult star wars series.

Off to an excellent start. Understand why there’s 12 episodes and they released 3 at once. The nonlinear storytelling of how he ended up with his adopted mother, how he was recruited, and building up his wanted level was perfectly shown in these 3 episodes

Starting in a brothel, and then Cassian shooting a cop in the face while he begs for his life. Definitely a somewhat different feel to your usual Star Wars lol. I'm loving the tone of this show

Naturally you got the review bombers, but they're just salty that Sex is now officially Canon to Star Wars, meaning they can no longer relate to it… Expand

The first three episodes are boring. The first two are pointless, and could have been covered in about 10 minutes, total. It was just padding. While this is better than Boba or Kenobi, it is still just a time-waster for a character that no one cares about, at least so far.

Nice to see people admitting they are lying about their 10s just to attack other users. It is usually harder to prove positive review bombing. Usually.… Expand

It also feels a disservice to all fans of Star Wars out there, when they think they can produce great stories and products with so little attention and promptness. Movies and series take dedication, creativity and artistic inspiration, but for Disney it's all about getting the next thing out there as soon as possible. Put some diverse characters all over the place, buy positive reviews and call it a day.… Expand
