Crimes of the Future (2022)
Unexpected body horror
I mainly wanted to see cause I love David Cronenberg's films, I barely knew much and I fairly enjoyed Crimes of the Future. The ambient music is one of my favorite aspects, I really like weird movies and the acting is great! Reminds me of Pathology but much weirder. I talked to one guy in the audience for a bit before the movie started he seemed cool I was surprised he left halfway in, it's not a bad movie at all. An interesting surgery story with some not so appealing eating; I would recommend the movie to anyone that would be interested.
We Broke Up (2021)
Meh I usually enjoy nearly everything but this is very stale!
As close to a hot mess as could possibly be! I put it on cause I watched a horror movie called Fresh before this which is amazing yet very disturbing figured this would be solid ish it only is slightly enjoyable. The bulk of it is awkward, not funny, and would almost been fine without being a movie more of a hangout for everyone involved.
Fresh (2022)
I'm blown away with how enjoyable this is
Been meaning to watch sooner mostly binge shows. Truly a Fresh thrill rides to the horror genre, Sebastian Stan is perfect for this kinda like how he was abusive in I Tonya that movie is spectacular too! I like how it shows the crappy side of dating, an excellent date with some spice to it. Well directed and written by women as well which is kinda brilliant especially with the subject matter. I love Fresh I'd highly recommend it!
The Bob's Burgers Movie (2022)
Excellent just as good the show!
I don't like musicals and there was a bit of in this even that was done really well. I've been really the series the last couple weeks I'm most the way through I've grown very fond of it better than most cartoons. Great how owing money to the bank turns into a mystery, adventurous, entertaining wild ride! Lovely movie all around I was surprised not many went to the theater one was asleep at the end and one kid wasn't there long even starred me a couple times I think he was movie hopping I did that when I was younger; I loved the movie at least. Sorry for being slightly off track with some stuff, I really enjoyed the crime story and it was hilarious!
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Holy cow such a great IMAX experience!
Tom Cruise is still an ultimate being at 59 years old it's outstanding! Top Gun: Maverick deserves so much for how practical everything is. Great the IMDb rating is 8.7 hope it stays high, should even get awards. The music hit the spot, cinematography is beautiful, the story flow well, and the acting is incredible so much so that even though Val Kilmer has mouth cancer in real life he has a small part in the film. I like how the main characters trained for a near impossible mission that all was built up quite well.
Barry: 710N (2022)
Mind blowing masterpiece
One of the best episodes in television history! Great mix of wisdom, master class acting, and suspense that is superb to witness! The numerous croissant scenes are so good, all the Sally bits, and everything with Barry is glorious; even Fuches (Stephen Root) has some suspense. What a whirlwind of greatness directed by Bill Hader!!
The Girl Next Door (2004)
I'm among the few that absolutely loves this movie!
A bold very sweet rom-com that has so much charm and one of the best soundtracks! The 4 young cast are perfect Emile Hirsch is precious, Christopher Marquette Rodriuez is legendary, Paul Dano is masterful in any role especially as he's gotten older, and Elisha Cuthbert is a dime. Luke Greenfield brilliantly directed this in my opinion with the romance, making you feel for the characters, and having a thriller aspect kick in with Timothy Olyphant.
The Perfect Score (2004)
Excellent high school story about SATS!
I love how Chris Evens and Scarlett Johansson were in this before being Marvel icons! The Perfect deserves better than a 5.6 at least above a 6. For the early 2000's this a very enjoyable experience especially being all about high schoolers. Maybe I'm unorthodox or something the comedy is crystal smooth, superbly cast, the dialogue is great, and pacing is just right.
Bob's Burgers (2011)
Unbelievably enjoyable can't believe I watched a long time ago when only a couple seasons existed
It's glorious that H. Jon Benjamin is the voice of Bob, he was excellent in Aqua Teen Hunger Force among others. Bob Burgers is so good in many ways with the comedy, music, beautiful colors, and entertainment value! The new movie should be great as well. Crazy how there's over 200 plus episodes I have a lot to get through.
The Lion King (1994)
Crazy how it's been since I was a kid that I watched Lion King, at 29 nearly 30 I still love it!
The ultimate heartwarming experience not many like it! Phenomenal characters, beautiful colors for its time, great story, and plenty of entertainment. I miss innocent movies like this thanks to Disney plus I can access them again after VHS became obsolete. The Lion King deserves all praise and I generally don't like musicals but this one is a goldmine.
Moon Knight (2022)
Way better than I could've imagined!
It seems there won't be more of Moon Knight but what we have is magnificent! Oscar Issac was perfect for this at least to me. The sudden black outs are so good, this is quite a different take on a marvel character arc. I really like the horror that's mashed in this show is so damn good!
White House Down (2013)
Pure entertainment
Not realistic much mainly cause in real life terrorists would've been swarmed and during the tour stenz men were seen briefly in the theater room but this movie is a lot of fun! I watched so many times when it was on HBO, now it's on STARZ which is wonderful. I really like the chain of events of everything happens Jason Clarke is an excellent villain and Jimmi Simpson is great as Skip Taylor the hacker. Channing Tatum was perfect in the main role as well. Roland Emmerich has made a lot of big budgeted chaos filled popcorn films that I appreciate more than most!
Multiplicity (1996)
I love this movie quite a bit!
Multiplicity is awesome to me! Micheal Keaton needs help work and wife for the movie Andie McDowell wants to work so Keaton's character clones himself which is joyfully entertaining how things transform along with amazing music. I watched so many times when I was younger still love Multiplicity I'm probably one of very few. Harold Ramis created some delightful cinema when he was around, hope he's resting in peace. I'm blown away this movie got hate.
King Richard (2021)
Excellent Will Smith deserved his Oscar! Unfortunate he's being canceled now doesn't deserve that.
Amazing film of parenting, talent, and inspiration all around great story about King Richard! I probably could've seen sooner but glad I am now, the movie is so good and should be praised. I absolutely love Jon Bernthal he's awesome to see in any role and so are the main girls I bet they trained a lot for this. Not a lot to say but this is really well filmed that I feel it's not talked about enough.
Men (2022)
Visually arresting nightmare fuel!
This movie is very bizarre in all the right ways. It's haunting, visceral, somber, and captivating; Jessie Buckley was perfect for this mind blogging ride! Alex Garland is brilliant at atmospheric terror and images that stick with you, I own his other movies and I loved Men for what it is. The first half is has a strong kick of drama and the 2nd half comes out of left field without spoilers it really catches you off guard. Men won't be for everyone there was a older couple that left before the movie started which is kinda good they would've been unsettled I love that sort of thing and so will horror fans.
We Own This City (2022)
Spectacular series a couple notch's below The Wire, We Own This City still deserves credit!
Focused on Baltimore police and crimes in the poverty areas/ close to it. The cast is perfect it's awesome how some of the same actors of The Wire is in this, realism is great, very nice cinematography, and it's quite entertaining! I'm probably part of the minority but I really like it all for what it is. A lot of corruption put out there of police, great to get that out there.
Gaslit (2022)
I don't understand the poor ratings/bashing of the series, I think it's excellent
It's very well written, exceptional acting, makeup is incredible especially on Sean Penn and the cinematography is beautiful! Gaslit is intriguing even gets better and intense; barely boring at all. I love that Sam Esmail is a producer he's masterful at his craft so is director Matt Ross I've enjoyed his acting. Hopefully overtime the series gets appreciated more I think it deserves higher than 6.8! To me it's one of the most enjoyable political stories out there.
Candy (2022)
Magnificent mini series
Jessica Biel has really transformed and in an impressive way since her earlier roles over the years she should be nominated for playing Candy Montgomery! A wonderful story about a mother thriving in the suburbs but when a friend has something occur things go awry in the neighborhood. This series is very well filmed, even with 2 hours sleep the show is worth watching!
The Time Traveler's Wife (2022)
Solid charming premier!
Despite being scattered this series is so lovely and intriguing. Theo James and Rose Leslie are superb at least a bulk of the time. The above average rating is fair but I've seen lots over the years and this is really good for a romance series! For the ones that might've been put off I'd say definitely give this a chance it's very sweet.
Rick and Morty (2013)
Masterful adult animated series
Everything about Rick and Morty is great! I love the voices, science galore, it's hilarious, the dialogue is top notch, loads of entertainment and Mr. Meeseeks is one of the best things ever! I'm glad the rating on IMDb is 9.2 well deserved. I've been a little behind the last couple seasons, delightful all around to watch any of them.
Lucas the Spider (2017)
Magnificent TV-Y7 mini series
Beautifully animated, heartwarming, cute, and innocent! Great how each 1 minute episode is about a different friend. Just purely wonderful all around!
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Awesome RPX 3D experience, one of my favorite marvel films!
The only thing I don't understand is why the MPAA didn't rate this R just for terror in the bulk of it. Even with 4 hours sleep I absolutely loved Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's definitely wild and very well directed by Sam Rami! Stephen Strange has to fix the glitches from Sprider-Man No Way Home and so much chaos leeches through universes which stayed entertaining throughout. The entire cast is great, acting is perfect, dialogue was well written, and action was glorious! I love the theory of dreams being from another universe I think that's brilliant.
The Master (2012)
Masterful film about a Master of a community and my 1,600 review!
I don't understand why Paul Thomas Anderson's films don't win awards all of them deserve it. Joaquin Phoenix is exceptional in this especially when does tests, gets out of control, and his mannerisms are great! Phillip Seymour Hoffman passed away with a top notch performance a year or so before this released which was worth it; his character as host of spiritual community was so good. I'm surprised The Master had some bashful reviews might not be for everyone cause of pacing but the bulk of it is crystal smooth entertainment that is directed quite well. Cinematography was beautiful done all around too.
Candyman: Day of the Dead (1999)
It's alright
Definitely the worst one mainly for the acting being so bad! Donna D' Errico is gorgeous looks more like a pornstar, the other main actresses have the charm and better acting chops. Day of the Dead is solid for its sexuality and horror is pretty good for sure; I kinda like cheesy I wouldn't recommend this much unless for fans of the genre. I must say I've seen worse movies this is entertaining for the way it is don't get me wrong, I love the editing and terror is amazing!
Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh (1995)
Rarely buy movies I haven't seen and this is pretty good
I'm glad I own all Candyman films even the sequels flopped. Farewell to the Flesh is very well directed by Bill Condon and Kelly Rowan is magnificent! I didn't really know of Kelly's career before this, she doesn't has the charm. The terror is solid and the same brilliant Phillip Glass really takes hold of the power quite a bit! Candyman original is best, then remake, then this and I haven't seen Day of the Dead I'm sure that one is decent.
