As the end credits finish, the sound of waves crashing the beach shore can be heard.
As the credits are "in order of appearance," Tom Hanks is listed a significant way down the list of actors/roles, not at the top as one would expect.
In the North American version, the film begins with the 1994 20th Century Fox logo with the 1997 fanfare, while the film ends with the in-credit "RELEASED BY 20TH CENTURY FOX" notice. The international versions had the DreamWorks Pictures logo at the beginning, while at the end, the "DISTRIBUTED BY DREAMWORKS DISTRIBUTION LLC" appears in-credit, followed by the closing variation of the DreamWorks Pictures logo.
The posters had the DreamWorks Pictures logo on the left and the 20th Century Fox logo on the right, only in the North American version, the international versions had both logos alternating.
