It's unlikely that this show, with this focus, could ever have been successful without Elizabeth Olsen's indelible central performance.
I've had fun with it, and I like going with it along the way, rather than rushing through it all at once...worth watching...
She's not the first superhero to be affected acutely by emotional pain; everyone knows that quote about great power and great responsibility. Yet for an MCU project, the choice to focus on Wanda's inner life is revolutionary.
WandaVision's commitment to confounding expectations might offer something few franchises as hoary as this one ever do - a fresh, surprising way in.
WandVision works best precisely because it is unlike anything the MCU's model has ever produced before.
Once WandaVision starts recycling the same content in each episode, it becomes difficult to ignore that the show's primary interest is playing with form rather than propelling its story forward.
A Marvel Studios' masterstroke consumed by fandom's hype.
Despite its laugh tracks and various winks and nods, the Marvel superhero series is lacking in its homage to iconic television.
Marvel and Disney raise the bar for the mini-series VOD world. By far the best thing I have ever seen on an episodic series. Even if it rips my heart out once again.
A mind-bending illusion of TV sitcoms of the past all wrapped up as a gift of intriguing mystery.
Inspired and creative, WandaVision upends the tried-and-true Marvel formula by combining loving -- and at times wacky -- homage with some disturbingly sinister undertones.
Wandavision is a fresh look at MCU formats and superhero stories. Wandavision is an easy entry point for newbs to this multiverse. There are more than enough Easter eggs to appease the best long-term fans.
Audience Reviews for WandaVision: Season 1

7h agoIt held me in a tight grip from the start to the finish. I couldn't put it away. After finishing watching it I can say that the ending and whole show has cut some scars into my heart. Easily one of the best Disney Productions of all time.

7h agoI absolutely loved it! You have to be patient because it starts slow, but if you watch carefully you'll pick up on hints for each episode! It is definitely worth a watch!!

8h agoWanda Vision is a tv series that I really liked. I did not expect to get interested in it because I did not understand much from the trailers. I realized that actually, the mystery of this tv series is what makes it good. As the audience, we got deep into Wanda's character and felt his traumas and depression with her. Marvel managed to demonstrate the emotions very well. The episodes got more interesting every time and gave the audience exciting hints for the next episode, made people wait for the Friday impatiently. It is very successful at hyping people. It has a great way of storytelling which the story enlightens and completes itself as the episodes go on. On the other hand, there were also things in this TV series that made me upset. The first episodes seemed sort of unnecessary to me. There wasn't really an event going around throughout those episodes, and I believe that they could have combined all of them in one episode so that they would have released more episodes with major events. People also expected to see more things at the end of the Wanda Vision but got disappointed in the final. I was one of those people who got disappointed. The Series got exciting in every episode and naturally increased the expectations, but fan theories boosted people's expectations. Besides the fan theories, I also thought that more things could have happened since they told us that this Tv series plays a significant role in the upcoming movie Doctor Strange 2. I also believe that the last episode could have been divided into two episodes, so that fight sequences and the drama scenes would have been more emphasized. In summary, even it doesn't meet many people's expectations, Wanda Vision was a great TV series with excellent drama and good action sequences. I would ensure that many people will be glad to finish it. I know that not much has happened for many people, but it still has to be watched to understand what will happen in Phase 4.

8h agoDisney/Marvel just milking content again. Not interesting, glad there's no season 2. I feel this bad mini-series plot they're doing will continue with Loki, falcon-wintersoldier and so on

11h agoWandaVision is a great entry into the MCU. Great lead acting (Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany) and this series kept throwing mysteries at you left and right. Always kept you wondering if the next episode could get any better from the last. Definite gold star show and another hit from Marvel Studios.

11h agoWhile its scope may be grand, and some of its recreations remarkably impressive, WandaVision does little in terms of crafting a tight and well-told narrative. Pair this with poor directing and uneven acting abilities and the result is far from stellar. In fact, it is an inconsistent and forgettable T.V series whose only merit can be found in the fan-hype surrounding it.

13h agoLuckily I didn't watch all those youtube theories. Or I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the series for what it ended up being. I felt like there was way more potential for madness and horror. At least that's what I was told exists in the source material. We ended up getting a quirky mystery series with a lot of nostalgia juice. The series fleshed out Wanda and Visions love story that's enough for me to like it. Anyone considering watching this series is a devoted Marvel fan anyways and will probably watch anything anyways without me telling him to. Except for maybe Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Iron Fist. So yeah go at it and laugh at Bohner;)

18h agoWandaVision is the only Marvel entry that provides more depth on her character as Scarlett Witch (Wanda). Therefore, this what I admire about this show. Otherwise, I remember seeing her on Age of Ultron, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame as one surfaced character before I turned 18 last year. However, this show develops Wanda as a character, which allows us as viewers to relate to her a lot more. I also like how the directors showed us the chemistry on Wanda and Vision's devotion towards each other. It makes us understand why they love each other so much. Wanda has a nurturing nature to her who allows Vision to express his emotions. On the other hand, Vision is the intellectual who provides Wanda a sense of solid ground for Her. Their relationship is also what I like about in this show. However, Quicksilver in this show is the only flaw in this show in my opinion. I mean we've seen Quicksilver as a youngling during Wanda's flashbacks, and Evan Peter's Quicksilver as a cameo. More importantly, I would have liked more depth on Quicksilver. Therefore, the directors could have achieved this by adding Quicksilver in Wanda's flashbacks. This would have allowed us to see more of the bond between both of them, compared to what we have seen from them during Age of Ultron. As a result, us as viewers would have understood related to bond a lot more, which would also be appreciated by the Marvel fandom. Otherwise, I hope they can flesh out his character if WandaVision has a second season. Overall, this show manages to provide the depth of Scarlett Witches character, compared to past Marvel films she stared in. So I am going to give this show a 4 out of 5.
