About the project
The Clear Linux Project for Intel Architecture is a distribution built for various network and Cloud use cases. We want to showcase the best of Intel Architecture technology: from low-level kernel features to complex applications that span across the entire OS stack. To achieve this goal, we put emphasis on Power and Performance optimizations throughout the operating system as a whole.
Clear Linux OS is focused on the Cloud. Our aim was not to make yet another general-purpose Linux distribution; sometimes lean-and-fast is better than big-and-universal. So while we include many software components from the OpenStack Foundation, everything in Clear Linux OS is command-line based; we chose, for example, to not include a GUI or printing support.
While we do our best to describe marquee technologies on this website, there are many smaller optimizations and configurations to explore. We invite anyone with an interest in the Cloud to take a look and give it a spin.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
