Goat Simulator Hits Xbox One With "Millions of Bugs"

Developer says to expect plenty of bugs and physics issues; they're only fixing the major ones.

Following its release last year for PC and iOS, wacky be-a-goat game Goat Simulator is now available for Xbox One. The game--developed by Double Eleven (Limbo ports) and original creator Coffee Stain Studios--launched Friday, and is available now for $10.

"You no longer have to fantasize about being a goat, your dreams have finally come true," reads a line from the game's official description."

In terms of gameplay, Goat Simulator has players causing as much mayhem and destruction as possible while playing as a goat. It uses a scoring system that bears a resemblance to the Tony Hawk skateboarding series. But, "instead of being a skater, you're a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff."

Double Eleven also warns that Goat Simulator for Xbox One contains "MILLIONS OF BUGS!" and other physics issues. The studio only plans to fix the major, game-breaking bugs--which makes sense, given that the bugs and oddities are part of the charm.

Goat Simulator won't take up much space on your hard drive, as it's only a 878.25 MB download. For a closer look at the Xbox One version of Goat Simulation, check out some images in the gallery below.

I was going to say, 'isn't the point of it that it's one giant ridiculous bugfest?' and yes, that is in fact the point, and all is right with the world.

That "only a 878.25 MB download" line made me freak out though. And then wonder why I can't move on mentally from the 90s.

as in the PC version they're only fixing the game crashing bugs, that's the whole point of this game. I got my moneys worth of lolz last year.

Awesome fun.  Played it for a few hours with my son last night and we could not stop laughing.  Best $10 I have spent in a long time.

Bragging about bugs in your game.  That's a new low.  Welcome to the generation of stupid in the video game world.

Yea no kidding. Man to think you can make a game about nothing and then have it be filled with bugs and glitches and still be able to sell it for $10 Man I gotta become an indie dev seems easy as hell just make crap and watch the money flow in.

its one of those games where is so stupid you just have to own it and make your friends play it

Please tell me people aren't spending more than $3.00 or so on this game . It's just not worth more than a few mins of fun. It's often around $3 on PC.

The amount of people that don't get the whole "millions of bugs" joke for Goat Simulator is disturbing.  There are a lot of rocks that people live under.

People who support this garbage should be ashamed of themselves.

@davillain-

Look who is talking the person who spends like 6 hours a day on this site. Should take your own advice.

@big_dogg12  Can't really blame them, after they play the game for abit I'm sure you will be able to find them at the local train tracks waiting for the locomotive to come by and run over their pennies. Stupid things for small minds!

Nothing wrong with having variety in a game library.

"Bethesda won't out perform us when it comes to making bad decisions! bugs with a guarantee of no patching!" Said no good developer ever.

Only patching the "Major" bugs is not a good way to sell your game to people.

Yup, non-game-breaking bugs shouldn't be a problem in this game.

I remember having to upgrade my computer back in the day because WC2 was 20 megs...

@cjtopspin Me too, I remember upgrading from 1 meg to 2 megs of RAM just to get the prettier explosions.

Man you people are old. My first PC had 4mb of RAM and a whopping 80mb of storage and a CPU with turbo up to 33 MHz.

Goat Simulator. Will always be a million bugs, because... it's.. a.. goat.. simulator. There's webpages devoted to Goats Being Stuck. How could getting stuck anywhere in the game be considered a bug?

Not gonna add this to the backlog. Waiting until this is a Gold freebie game. Because... goats... getting... stuck.

Anyone know what the rating is, or what the age appropriateness is?

iammcgruber

@IndremaLover it's pretty age appropriate from what i played on the ipad. Just a goat chargin around causing destruction. I let my 8 year old play it.

About a million people have played Bloodborne not cracking a smile. About a few thousand have played GS and have had a few laughs.

Goat Simulator > bloodboring.

Don't you hate it when fanboy too hard and come out looking like a buffoon? You seem to do that constantly.

So no X360 version now, when is that being released?

punksterdaddy
punksterdaddy

@7tizz

They supported the Original Xbox far longer than that.

Anyway that's not the point, the point is where is the news of this game on X360?

7tizz
7tizz

Where have you seen any info it's releasing on the 360? The trailer ends with the One logo.

punksterdaddy
punksterdaddy

@7tizz

On this site when or near when it was announced.

That hardly proves anything. Well they wouldn't likely end it with the X360 logo now would they? It's the XOne they want to push.

It doesn't matter, I found my answer on another site.

Which is...?

@7tizz

It was supposed to be today also but it says "Coming Soon to Xbox 360," Apparently.

@hood_honky

Well okay but they said there would be and MS said three years of support... That's why.

Cutting off support is fine, once there is something worthy of moving to.

hood_honky
hood_honky

Why should their be one? it's about time to cut off support.

7tizz

I think the 3 years was Live support - not necessarily software support.
