IFAD: East Africa Trade Transparency

IFAD logotechfortrade and IFAD have jointly funded an initiative to roll out an innovative approach to fair, secure and transparent smallholder agricultural trading in East Africa. The new approach, known as Transaction Security Services (TSS) will adopt apprenticeship style training to teach agricultural traders in Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda how to adopt the new methodology, which incentivizes traders by aligning commission income with the achievement of best prices for farmers. Find out more »

3D4D Challenge

 Ethical Filament Foundation

techfortrade, Michigan Technological University and Dreambox Emergence have launched the Ethical Filament Foundation, establishing a fair working and trading standard for the production of 3D filament from recycled plastic waste. The foundation aims to ensure the availability of an ethically produced alternative to standard commercial filament, reduce the environmental impact of waste plastic and facilitate a source of profitable and sustainable income for waste pickers in developing countries. Find out more
