Why would app makers choose to hook into it?
The keyboard on my work HP 820 G1 feels almost exactly the same as the Air/Retina Pro keyboard (which is to say it sucks compared to older EliteBooks :/ )
I don’t get it – WWAN cards are a standard feature of laptops in the working world and are supported just fine by any version of Windows.
Fine here on current Chrome/Vista
Just another opinion but I really don’t like the ‘all the same shape’ icon themes – its harder to distinguish one from another and I don’t think it looks better
The 920 was really wide for its screen size so it shouldn’t be too difficult to pull that off.
As for flagship phones I’d be surprised to see anything smaller than the iPhone 6 (or less than 5" at all really)
Windows Phone maybe but I don’t think Google really cares whether your are using their services on desktop Windows or Chrome OS or whatever so long as you’re using their services
The trouble there is only the 1080p screen from the 15" models could be considered anything approaching good quality so if you want a 14" model you really need an external monitor too.
Yeah plenty of people think Spotify stinks from a UI perspective. Not really a crazy perspective. It’s gotten a lot better, but it’s still way way too busy.
IMO no one involved with this particular website should be casting stones at the user experience of other services.
‘Stinks from a UI perspective’ and ‘way, way too busy’ definitely apply to the Verge itself and no visble effort has been made to improve the situation.
FYI you are bypassing all the restrictions your employer (for good reason) put on your device. That’d be a quick way to get your EAS sync privalegdes revoked at most workplaces (or far worse actual disciplinary action)
Might be worth checking out Nine on Android.
It’s pay and Exchange only, but it works perfectly (for me at least) and allows Exchange policy to be applied at device or app level.
ULV i7s are generally not worth the upgrade – they are only marginally faster than a ULV i5 at the best of times and the difference is even less on thermally constrained devices.
I guess you’d have an admin (or main or whatever) account that can delete the other accounts. Probably a lot trickier to actually implement than it seems.

I’ll bet there is some way of overiding the auto selection and forcing an app onto one or other graphics card but in general desktop stuff will just run on the integrated card as that makes more sense from a battery life perspective.
It works in a similar way on Windows (at least with Nvidia cards)
I’m still not convinced that multi-window is usefull on a device that is (at the largest end) 10". Maybe if a larger iPad is introduced multi-window will come with it, but I’d be very surprised if it ends up on any of the current iPad sizes (let alone the iPhone)
What does it look like if you set it to one of the intermediate resolutions like 1680×1050?
As for dedicated graphics I don’t see why that would make a difference for normal desktop usage – that is going to be using integrated regardless (forcing something like Safari to use the dGPU would have a fairly bad effect on battery)
If they can make it a standard function of Windows Server then I think that is a boon for Microsoft.
Why not just improve Intune?
That applies to Windows Phone too – remember MS is pushing the same MDM solution across all three platforms.
It’s not necessarily a very secure solution though as there are various ways of making the handset appear that it is applying policy when it really isn’t (the Exchange server has to believe whatever the phone tells it)
Proper solutions generally containerise the corporate data and apply policy at the container level.
That is exactly what Lee Pierce was saying
Just because there is no licensing cost that does not mean there is no cost to upgrading (and to be clear this means new machines as well as exisitng ones)
