It begins…
I actually agree with this. Garfield is a solid Peter Parker. Also, the new films’ approach to web-slinging is just straight up magnificent.
I’m just gonna say here that an Aunt May movie makes no sense, but a movie about the Parker family would at least connect to the intrigue already present in the new series. It’s still dumb as all hell. But I could at least see Sony playing around with the idea of Richard, Mary, Ben, and May taking on a young Norman Osborn.
Dude, I feel the same way.
High praise!
I actually do think there’s something to be said about Marvel doubling down on all their properties. The potential for crossovers is nuts. For instance, we can’t really guess at what Marvel plans to do with their Netflix properties, but we do know there’s going to be a Defenders "movie." Doctor Strange was a founder of that group. Writing him out is possible, but also weird and would irk since we know they all inhabit the same universe.
All I’m really saying is to get the most out of what’s happening here (even if Marvel keeps it approachable for casual fans) is to invest. And to do that, you need to invest in everything. For transparency’s sake: none of this was especially hard to write about for a first draft since I’m personally a comics nerd, but it’s utterly opaque for editors of mine who haven’t been reading comics since the ’90s.
Definitely. Tbh, I’m signing up for Spider-Verse right now.
Fixed! Thanks for that.
