Jennifer DiNoia was born and raised in Meriden, CT. She knew she wanted to be onstage as soon as she started dancing at the age of 3.
When Jennifer was 6 years old, she had her first professional onstage experience, as a local kid on the National Tour of “The King and I” starring Mary Beth Peil & Stacey Keach. Jennifer continued to study dance through middle & high school and took part in several musicals in her community.
When it was time to go to college, she decided to go to Point Park in Pittsburgh, PA as a dance major. After her first year, she took a summer internship at Broadway Dance Center in NYC & absolutely fell in love with the city and all it had to offer. Jennifer returned for her second year at Point Park and then September 11th, 2011 happened. As many people did, Jennifer re-evaluated where she was and what she was doing, and decided the best thing for her was to move to NY and see how it went.
Luckily, Jennifer booked her first equity show, the First National Tour of “Mamma Mia!” as an ensemble member that covered the role of “Aii”. After touring for a couple years, she was hired for the US Premiere of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” in Las Vegas, NV. She then went on to cover & standby for the leading role of in WWRY, “Scaramouche”.
A few years later, Jennifer was hired for her dream show, “Wicked”. She joined the Chicago Company as a crossover swing, covering all 9 female dancer and singer tracks, as well as the roles of “Elphaba” & “Nessarose”. After 3 years in “Wicked”, Jennifer closed the Chicago Company as the “Elphaba Standby” and immediately joined the New York Company as the Standby to make her Broadway Debut.
Jennifer is so proud to now be playing the role she always dreamed of playing. Going into her 8th year with “Wicked”, she has been all over the world with this show. She performed the role of “Elphaba” in Sydney, Australia & Seoul, Korea and is now playing “Elphaba” 8 times a week on the 2nd National Tour of “Wicked”.
