Shopping In-Store, But Wanting More [Infographic]

According to an online survey conducted by Accenture, 21% of U.S. consumers plan to make more trips to retail stores in 2014, versus only 9% in 2013. However, with increased interest comes heightened expectations: 40% of shoppers said retailers need to improve the in-store experience, while only 16% said the online shopping experience needed to improve.

Black Friday Vs. Cyber Monday: ‘Tis The Season For Shopper Social Sentiment [Infographic]

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are key selling days for retailers, driving consumers to stores and e-Commerce sites. However, consumer sentiment regarding the two days varies significantly. According to social analysis from SAP Retail, 72% of consumers mentioned “Black Friday” in posts. Conversely, only 28% of people discussed Cyber Monday. However, SAP Retail noted that posts regarding Cyber Monday were more positive, with customers citing that they were more happy and excited about the shopping holiday than Black Friday.

Are Tablet Buyers Taking Over E-Commerce? [Infographic]

The total number of U.S. tablet users is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 51% from 2010 to 2015, according to Forrester Research. Retailers are benefitting from this boom, as consumers are using their devices more frequently during the browsing and buying process. For example, shoppers are using their tablets at least once a month to look up product and price information (56%), read customer ratings and reviews (54%), compare product and pricing information (51%), and search for a nearby store (51%).
