Advisor: The Journal of Professional CM/PM Practice delivers high level editorial content including articles, news stories, columns and other items focusing on the professional practice of Construction and Program Management. 

Published quarterly, Advisor provides a forum in which timely issues in policy management, strategy, ethics and other areas can be discussed by our industry—from the most experienced professional to the newest CM.

Article Submissions:

Lead feature articles: 1,200-1,500 words

"Department" stories: 300-400 words

The regular departments for which ADVISOR seeks submissions are:

  • Final Walk-through – Profiles of outstanding current or recently completed projects. Submit two to four high quality photographs showing interesting aspects of the project, together with a complete list of project credits and a 200-word statement of the project’s unique or educational features.
  • Market Value – Advice on marketing your professional service and/or communicating about a project to stakeholders. Submit a complete draft of 300 to 400 words.
  • Owners Corner – A close, timely look at issues challenging owners today.
  • Safety First – Guidance on maintaining a safe work site. This may include examples of successful programs, advice on government/legal requirements, and tips from safety experts.
  • Techline – Brief reviews of technology for the industry.
  • Tools of the Trade – New products and services that will make CM/PM's jobs more productive.
